Colts pick up Nelsons 5th year option
No Brainer . . .
QUENTON NELSON G, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS Colts exercised the fifth-year option on G Quenton Nelson's contract. Nelson has been dominant at LG dating back to his rookie season. Pro Football Focus has graded him as a top-five guard in each of the past two seasons. Nelson has yet to miss a game in his three years as a pro and the Colts have reportedly considered playing him at tackle in 2021. The option will cost Indianapolis $13.8 million, a small price to pay for one of the league's best lineman. SOURCE: Adam Schefter on Twitter Apr 28, 2021, 2:54 PM ET |

I can understand why though. Paying a guy as the best guard in the league then paying another guy LT money is a lot of money tied up in oline. Not to mention RT and C.
I kinda wonder if they draft Vera Tucker if he is at 21 and see between him and Nelson who works best at LT. Vera Tucker is well regarded and I guess there is a tier drop off after those first four guys. |
Fuck that draft a Tackle and leave him right where he’s at

Ballard has an eye for linemen. I think hes going to pull a rabbit out of his ass, and get the critics spun up. Plan on popcorn and some buffalo trace for the second round |
