Say what you will about the penalties called against the Chiefs right before halftime, but Tampa Bay played great. Brady was great. Their defense was great. They rubbed it in and dirtied it up and beat the crap out of Mahomes towards the end, but they deserved the win. The Chiefs had starters out on the offensive line and it killed them. I think Mahomes was injured coming in as well, but he surely was by the end of the game. Bad game overall, but Tampa did their job.

In Ballard I trust.

Jim didn’t even want to mention the Colts when Heag came up.

Ballard will carry us.

Can’t win when your tackles are out. Not against those ends. Same thing in the packers game.

At half time I was thinking that one long PI on a clearly uncatchable ball was some real bullshit, but with the way the Tampa defense just kept up their pressure all through the 2nd half, that call clearly didn't matter. Tampa may have had a slightly inflated point total, but if all the Chiefs could muster was 3 FGs, they clearly deserved to lose.
I suspected beforehand that the Tampa defense would be the difference in the game.

Agree. I thought two of those PI calls were uncatchable, but watching that Oline fall apart in the second half sealed it for me. I don't watch many Chiefs games, but I've never seen Mahomes running for his life and getting pummeled like that before. KC had no chance against that defense. On the other side, I don't remember Brady getting touched once.

I think maybe Brady did get sacked, but as a rule was not under pressure.
I thought KC game plan really fucked up, they should have been running from the start against that pass pressure. Keep the defense worried about the run instead of letting them tee off repeatedly against those tackles. They really blew it before the game ever started.
