That was a bad call by the referees for intentional grounding ...... there was a receiver in the area.

Defense wins championships. This game proves that.

This scenario is somewhat reminiscent of Super Bowl XXIII in the 1988 season, when the Bengals kicked a field goal for a 3-point lead late in the 4th quarter, leaving Joe Montana and company with 3-plus minutes (and all 3 of their timeouts) to tie it or win it ...... Mahomes and the Chiefs have less than 2 minutes, and only 2 timeouts left.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce came through in regulation when the chips were down, in the final seconds of the 4th quarter.

They both came through again in overtime (especially Mahomes), with their backs to the wall.


Very impressive.
