Very scientific, thanks for your input.

Maybe it's not a good thing to Omaha.

Looks like we've added Dalton Crossan, RB, New Hamshire

Love this Dalton Crossan signing. Colts need to figure out the slot WR position still. He has a great shot.

they really don't need to figure out anything at wr.

they have plenty of talent there. slot wr included.

Actually he's played so many positions, that I don't know what he is.

Strongly disagree. This team has no consistent middle-of-field route-runner that's a WR.

that is due to not being part of the offense.

rogers, hilton, and dorsett can play that role just fine if called upon

Maybe.

Dorsett to this point has looked like a piss poor route runner who literally can only run straight and draw a PI flag.

Rogers, I haven't seen enough of that.

Hilton I agree COULD do that, but I think his talents are better used elsewhere, rather than having him go over the middle and getting abused while running in the slot.

Dorsett blows. People will realize it this year.

Remember to watch if he consistently separates from slower defenders on anything but routes 25 yards downfield this year.

Can he return kicks? Would help his cause in making the roster.

We will see. I still think the kid has something to offer

The kicker is also a punter.

The Gramatica brothers redux.

MDcolt 04-30-2017 10:17 AM

I was able to see quite a bit of Trey Griffy when I was at medical school at the U of A. I think he has shot to make the team, at special teams.

YDFL Commish 04-30-2017 10:21 AM

I think the TE from Washington has a chance.

Colt Classic 04-30-2017 02:31 PM

No interest in Devine Redding? Did anyone pick him up?

Dam8610 04-30-2017 05:09 PM

It'll be interesting to see if Sickels or Thomas can do anything.

ukcolt 04-30-2017 06:16 PM

Looking at a few draft previews looks like we have 4 guys who could possibly help...
TE Darrell Daniels, a former receiver, who can't block
WR Bug Howard, who looks to be a big possession receiver
OL Jerry Ugokwe, a development project who has some real talent that Philibin could work wonders with
DE Garrett Sickels, led Big 10 in pressures, so maybe there is something but Maggitt could be the same player.

No thanks. Was never even a fan of his at IU. Put up good stats coming in off the horsework of Coleman and Howard last few years. As a feature back this year, he put up OK numbers, but just isn't an impressive player. No breakaway speed like Coleman, no power like Howard. Purely a guy who got what the OL gave him.

I would like to think T.J. Green does as well. With both I actually think it's a case of actually wanting the success badly enough that they could potentially achieve. My memory is fuzzy but there is an image I can't get out of my head wth Green and I think it's from the game against the Texans and an attempted tackle on a TE from the Texans. In the NFL I'm not sure I have seen a tackle attempt any more funny that that one.

I don't see how Sickels fits. He played DE at PSU, and I don't see the athleticism for him to play EDGE in a 3-4.

I didn't say it was likely. OLB would be his position in this defense.

This might only interest me, but of the rookie FAs who have officially signed w #Colts, K/P Rigoberto Sanchez got the biggest signing bonus.

He was ranked as the top Punter prospect this year, also note he was given a $12k sign on bonus, everyone else has been closer the the 1k range

That is interesting. Maybe competition for Locke. If their punting is about the same but Sanchez is a better KOS (cuz it sure as hell won't be Vinatieri kicking off), you probably give the edge to Sanchez.

Coltsalr 05-01-2017 04:43 PM

Does Vinatieri not have the leg to blast it through the end zone now with the kickoff position moved up? I don't think he's tried it since they moved it, but he has of course aged a few years since then, so it's entirely possible that it'd be a wash (though IIRC his accuracy from long range has actually improved with age).

i thought they wanted to preserve his leg for field goals
