Taylor over/under 700 yards

I think that’s easy $$ for those that gamble

HoosierinFL 07-27-2020 04:37 PM

Definitely easy. Pick the under. We'll only get max 4 games before the season is called.

That would be my main concern with that bet.

omahacolt 08-04-2020 11:14 AM

If this is just rushing yards I say under regardless of I’d the season is played

Yea it’s rushing yards
And there is no IF- the season is getting played
He’ll go over that easily

Pez 08-05-2020 08:03 AM

I don't see him supplanting Mack right away. Under for me. I think Mack gets 1000, if Taylor also gets 500 I will be thrilled.

Really 500?? What about the 2-4 games you know Mack will be out

You don’t know he will miss time

apballin 08-12-2020 06:03 PM

3 years and he’s played 12,14, and 12 so I’m going on tendencies

I don’t think Mack will break 1000.

If Taylor’s scouting report holds true and he is the player we believe he can be, he will supplant Mack as the primary ball carrier by the end of the season. My gut tells me this is similar to Addai/Rhodes. Rhodes was still a baller for us, and had a great playoffs, but we all knew Addai was the better HB that year.

I like Mack, I like his elusiveness, his speed, vision, and I love that for a relatively thin guy he’s got a formidable stiff arm. With that said, in my perspective he is an elusive back that can sometimes run with power.

I like a runner who can press the issue with this line. I think Taylor is probably going to push Wilson out of the picture completely and will eventually be the guy we look to primarily (assuming he’s not fumbling)

I think the HC wants to run them about the same amount of time. One guys needs to catch his breath we roll out another hard hitting back and bludgeon the other team with a very good O line, and throw when we want to, not when we need to.

Taylor has looked awesome as of late. Sucks losing Mack but finally it looks like we are getting some production in the run game

We’ve played the Texans and Raiders. Two of the worst run D’s in football.

I’ll wait until we do it against the Steelers or in the playoffs.

Valid argument

But production is production. And just the vision and timing has looked much better for Taylor

Taylor went well over 800 yards this afternoon against the Texans.

At 842 yards overall with 2 games still left to be played, he has a decent shot at breaking the 1,000 yard-mark.

Taylor had 2 rushing TD's today, to go along with 74 yards rushing.

With 916 yards rushing yards for the season, he needs 84 against the Jaguars next week to reach 1,000.

So he’ll have 80 yards in the first half and Reich will get pass happy again because the defense is giving “run blitz” looks

Chromeburn 12-30-2020 04:16 PM

Hitting 1000 yards for basically second half of the season production is pretty damn good. I think that three yard run in the Steelers game might be his best run of the season.

Hope he continues to improve. He needs to work on his pass protection if he wants to be an every down back.

He looks like he is improving in his pass protection. In the game against those bastard Steelers, he made a damn good block to protect Rivers.

I really like how Taylor has improved so much from the start of the season to now. He is going to be special for us. Apparently he worked his ass off to get so much better.

He is already an ok pass blocker. He will get better. He has the willingness to step up and blast lbers

That last TD run he had was phenomenal. Great day and season for the rookie who looked shaky at the beginning of the season.

Jonathan Taylor was just short of 1,200 rushing yards, had nearly 1,500 yards from scrimmage and 12 total TD, and best of all only fumbled once the entire season (though I think that fumble was a big factor in the loss to the Ravens). The best part of all of it, though, is that this was Jonathan Taylor's age 21 season. That should mean that far better days are ahead for him, and makes the urgency to find a franchise QB even greater.

When he makes contact he is not bad. I was mainly referring to before he makes contact. Positioning, how to move around the QB in the pocket and get to blocks. One of the sacks the other game happened bc he wasn't able to get into position and took the wrong path around the QB. That should come with experience.

That was the fumble that happened when trying for after contact yards I believe. Which was the knock on him and when most of his fumbles happened in college. Nice to see Rathman helped correct that issue. He wraps the ball as soon as he makes contact now and he is always leaning forward and getting yards after contact. Couple of first downs yesterday he drove the defender past the marker.
