Luck and wrs

According to Chester Rogers, he is in the way to Stanford. Looks like it is time to throw to the dudes.

Butter 07-08-2018 08:21 PM

That is great to hear.

FatDT 07-08-2018 09:45 PM

That’s what these WRs need. Luck is good enough to elevate them, but they don’t get enough team time to develop together. This will help a lot.

Has Luck ever done this with his WRs?

Hoopsdoc 07-09-2018 09:34 AM

That’s awesome, especially with so many new receivers. Get as many reps as possible.

I doubt many WRs would be there. Luck is still in the ramp up phase. There aren't enough passes to go around yet.

So, they are coming in one at a time?

Puck 07-09-2018 03:47 PM

Curious. Who pays for flights and rooms food etc? Can Irsay do that during the off season? Does Luck pay considering he has a ton Of money. Or do the WRs pay their own way?

I saw an interview a few weeks ago....trying to remember who did it.....he was asked about having a private camp with his WRs and he said it was part of his plan. When he was asked who he was going to work out with he said he didn't want to say.....said he didn't want to offend the guys that didn't get an invite. he said it in his goofy way....still got the impression he was keeping the list to no more than 3. My guess would be TY, Rodgers, and maybe one of the TEs. I will try to find a link.

Mentioned this in a late June interview with Dave Calabro. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...t-of-the-plan/

I know that he did it his rookie year. I'm not sure, but I believe he has done every one of his healthy off-seasons.

Sounds about right, and I'm sure that Reich has had some input on this. I would guess, TY, Rogers, Ebron and Doyle.

Irsay can’t do it unless he did it under the table like kraft does with Brady. The under market tenant space in a strip mall.

I would bet that Luck is footing the bill but that is only a guess. In that scenario I would foot the bill

Dam8610 07-10-2018 12:57 PM

I would also guess Luck is footing the bill, but it's less than $500 per person I would think, it's not like even the lowest paid WR on the team couldn't easily afford it.

I think I would have a hard time really understanding what it would mean to make $510,000 a year... that's about $26k a month after taxes, or about $6500 a week. I'm pretty sure no one is really sweating it. That's for the lowest paid guy.

TY gets over $100k a month.

Isn't Hilton $13 million per year? That's $1.1 million per month, or probably about $750K per month after taxes.

FatDT 07-10-2018 08:23 PM

Thought TY was getting $9 million per.

8/13/2015: Signed a six-year, $65.547 million contract. The deal contains $39 million guaranteed, including a $10 million signing bonus. 2018: $11 million, 2019: $13 million, 2020: $14.542 million, 2021: Free Agent

I stand corrected. Maybe I'm thinking of Vontae's contact.

People freaked out about the vontae contract but it was a bargain.

Are you using this site? Just curious if there is a better place.

Yes. It was a top-end CB contract but at that time he was a top-end CB.

Pay is getting a bit ridiculous. Guards are now getting paid what Peyton Manning made annually.

And TY's contract is a bargain now.

I use spotrac, but can't say if it is better or worse than overthecap, just the one I always used.

The 2 best sites are OverTheCap and Spotrac.

However, both allow their automated systems to fill in a lot of the numbers from web bots and there are frequent inaccuracies in their numbers; especially the difference between "likey to be earned" and "unlikely to be earned" incentives.

Take all numbers with a grain of salt. They are going to be close but...

Walk Worthy,

1965southpaw 07-13-2018 05:17 PM

I heard a Mike Chappel interview on JMV yesterday. He said that he heard that Ryan Grant and Chester Rodgers are out in Cali. But TY is Not there. He didn't mention anything about the tight ends.

Puck 07-13-2018 05:25 PM

I use Sherck

I was curious, not critical. Its all monopoly money in terms of thr NFL.

My own feeling is that show me contracts are a good idea, as long as you payoff to those who prove their worth.
