Stat that blew my mind a bit....

From an SI MMQB article:
Quote:

Number of 10-win seasons over the past 16 seasons:

0: BUF
1: OAK, CLE
2: DET, WAS, TB
3: SF, MIA, TEN, JAX, HOU, LAR
4: ARI, NYJ
5: MIN, DAL, NYG, LAC, CHI
6: CIN, CAR
7: ATL, BAL, DEN, NO
8: PHI, SEA, KC
9:
10: GB, PIT
11: IND
12:
13:
14:
15:
16: NE
First, as much as I hate them, that feat is dang impressive for the Cheats. They have been in a class by themselves with Bellicheat and Tommy Cheater.

Second, we can add a 12th season if we win Sunday against TEN. PIT and GB will stay at 10 seasons so we will separate from both of them.

We have had some great times as Colts fans over the past 20 years (Peyton's 2nd season when we went 13-3). The difference between us and NE, GB and PIT?

We are on the rise with a youngish QB, massively young roster and an emerging dominate O-Line. Those other 3 teams are all heading towards rebuild.

Great time to be a Colts fan, Freaks!

Walk Worthy,

Walk Worthy,

They are the Spurs of the NFL without the integrity part.

Don't forget an up-and-coming, still learning the jobs coach.

Things are looking up!

It's helped the pats the the rest of the teams in their division have managed to be as bad as they have been.

Basically, have to get 4 wins a year with that awful division. It is pretty amazing to me that the rest of those teams have been so bad for so long.

o

The Colts have had a somewhat similar transition of great quarterbacks that the 49ers had when they went from Joe Montana to Steve Young.

Not including the strike-shortened 1982 season, the 'Niners had 17 consecutive 10-win seasons from 1981 through 1998. Unlike the Colts' Manning-to-Luck combination/continuation, Young and Montana were on the same team for almost 6 full seasons (1987 though 1992), so one could spell the other when one of them was injured.

Jets had a couple pretty good years with that Rex Ryan defense but other than that it’s been a shitshow in that division for a loooong time.

Buffalo (0), Miami (3), NYJets (4) = 7 seasons

Houston (3), Tennessee (3), Jacksonville (3) = 9 seasons

That's not a huge difference. One COULD make the argument that the AFC South has been just as big of a shitshow as has the AFC East, and that Indy has benefitted from it.

If one were so inclined.

Just saying.

At least one of ours was an expansion team in the early 00’s. But yeah the south was pretty bad for a long time, too.

Walk Worthy,

And unlike the Cheaters, the Colts don't cheat. I have far more respect for the 11-12 legitimate 10+ win seasons the Colts have had over the last 16 years than the 16 ill gotten 10+ win seasons the Cheaters have had.
