Any experience with 2011 Ford Escape ?
 

I am considering buying a 2011 Ford Escape XLT with 90k miles on it to upgrade from my 2002 Saturn SL1 (275k miles on it! :) )

It has the All-Wheel drive, V6 engine, SYNC and a sunroof options above the standard options.

Anyone have experience with the Escapes from around that timeframe?

About the only cosistent complaints I can find searching the internet are:

- Rear wheel wells appear to rust out early

- Loudish road noise

- Transmission is like a truck and not a car (duh)

I plan on taking it to Ziebart after purchase to put a remote start in it, do a rust prevention underbody spray with noise dampening and detail it.

Any experience?

I almost bought one, but the deal was horrible. I was lucky to Escape!

My wife used to have a 2012 company car, put 80 k on it in 2 years with no problems … :cool:

It’s a Ford. You will be spending a lot repairing it
