Colts bringing in Kickers for tryouts in case Blankenship needs to miss games

Eddy Piñeiro is still a free agent, too, although he may be injured as well. Washington had signed Piñeiro to their practice squad, but then released him about a month ago with an undisclosed injury and settlement.

The Colts are working out kickers today with starter Rodrigo Blankenship suffering from a hip injury that limited him on MNF. Blankenship may miss a little time.

The team is working out at least FA Ks Brett Maher and Michael Badgley, sources say. Badgley was once a UDFA in Indy.

Yes.

His senior year stats were very good.

XP - Made 49 of 50

FG - Made 13 of 13 - Note: Only 2 attempts were more than 40 yards, although one of those two was a 55 yard FG

Add two more names to the kicking competition:

The Colts are also working out Aldrick Rosas and Riley Patterson today, per sources. A kicker derby with Rodrigo Blankenship's status TBD for this week.

Colts are giving former Chargers K Michael Badgley a physical, a source says. If he were to sign, it would be to the practice squad. Obviously, team could then activate him on game day

Colts are still evaluating Blankenship's hip injury, Reich says, and there's likely a decision coming soon.

hopefully they cut him

The Colts officially made the roster move today, signing Badgley to the practice squad and releasing OL Joey Hunt from the practice squad. I am a little surprised that they released Hunt - I thought he had been OK for a back-up lineman the last two years. However, he did have a rough start to training camp this year as the 3rd string C with several fumbled exchanges with the QB. And if Pinter (2nd string C) is now 100% recovered from his injury, I guess Hunt was excess depth.
