“I know the scheme,” Gilmore said, via the team’s website. “I’ve been in the league for a while and a I’ve seen how those guys have played. I think it fits my style of play a lot. It’s only going to help me make plays, I just gotta keep putting the work in day in and day out, working on my technique, trusting my teammates and go from there.”

When it comes to those teammates, Gilmore said that he likes that “everyone’s taking it serious” in Indy during the offseason program and he thinks “the sky’s the limit” for a group that approaches work that way. After falling short of the playoffs last year, the Colts are hoping acquiring players like Gilmore and Matt Ryan help them rise even higher

Getting rid of Wentz was the key. If the Colts kept Wentz, I would be questioning the thinking of this Colts administration. Thankfully we have an owner who really gets it. Frank Reich, with this amount of talent, has no excuses now. We will finally see if he is worth a shit or not. It's do or die for him now. Anything less than winning the AFC South will be considered a failure in my eyes. God bless the best owner in the NFL.

The miracle was replacing Wentz with Ryan. If all this talk about accuracy and anticipation are correct I cannot wait for the season.

This makes me wonder to what extent a lack of veteran leadership, esp those with significant playoff experience, played a big part in the letdown last year? Ryan and Gilmore are def guys that can fill that role, and on both sides of the ball.
