Coltfreaks Banner

It's time to change the banner guys and get Donte Moncrief the fuck outta here.

I suggest adding Nelson and Leonard.

Will pass this on to the almighty one behind the curtain. Cause we don’t know how to do it

And Kelly, maybe the best center in the league this year.

Nice article on Kelly.

Have Nelson mauling somebody, preferably a patriot.

Brylok 11-10-2018 03:54 AM

Definitely: Luck, TY, AV (the GOAT), Leonard
Maybe: Castonzo, Nelson, Kelly, Reich

Great article. it seems rare to have an Alabama offensive lineman pan out in the NFL.

When trying to pinpoint why the Colts’ offensive line has had so much success this season, especially as of late, Kelly is not the reason most mentioned.

People point to the scheme, the resources invested in rookies Quenton Nelson/Braden Smith or even having Anthony Castonzo back in the lineup.

But DeGuglielmo has his eyes focused squarely on his center.

How bizarre is it that there are a multitude of reasons you can point to for the improved line play.........gotta love how this line is coming together and barring serious injury they could be a dominant force for years to come.

YDFL Commish 11-10-2018 07:49 PM

I always thought that Philbin was a turd of an OL coach. Maybe he's a decent OC, but that's Green Bays problem.

Coach DG (I"m not even going to try to spell his name) has to be better.

they call him Guge for short.

Pez 11-11-2018 07:39 AM

DeGuglielmo said this to the Star in September about his thoughts on this line in April:
Quote:

DeGuglielmo: “You could see they didn’t carry their heads high, and as a unit, there were a lot of issues they needed to work out, whether it be personnel or technique or things like that."

"They didn’t look like they were walking around like they were roosters with their chest out and they were singing a good song. They were melancholy when we started this thing. Now I see the personalities, I see them communicating with one another in a way I didn’t see early on. It’s good growth.”
You take everything the coach says to the media with a grain of salt, but even well salted, this seems like a marked improvement over Philbin's comments after game 10 last year:

Quote:

Philbin: “We have to play better, I think consistency has been the biggest thing we’re going to harp on when we get back [from the bye]. You just haven’t [executed] well enough, long enough. Whether it’s one game or whether it’s a quarter."

My brother is a Graphic Designer and he said he’d be willing to do it if Puck definitely has the capability on updating the banner?

That would be Edgeman. When he has time he will get to it.

How many centers did the Colts run out there last year?? It was a cluster fuck at center.

Huge investment made in OL by team, plus OL finally gets healthy. OL begins to perform. Must be coaching.

Also, how did this discussion end up here?

The right side of the line is backups

Not anymore.

They might have started the season as backups but they are the clear cut starters now!

Not just backups, the backup of the backups, a guy off the streets and a guard made a tackle. So ya right, coaching doesn't matter. At this point Dam is just trolling or stupid.

Sure but that doesn’t change the fact.

I still don’t know if smith should be the long term rt starter. He is holding up for now. Dude could probably be a pro bowl caliber rg

YDFL Commish 12-12-2018 08:30 PM

Yep that 37th overall pick sure was going to be a backup long term.

Ballard had no desire to play him at rt. He is doing a good job but the truth is still the truth

Of course not, but he was clearly pushed into a role they did not intend him to have.

What is really annoying is you say shit like this thinking you are smarter than you are. We get it you think we are dumb and you are smart.

I don't think anyone here is dumb, but I definitely think that some people here willfully ignore things sometimes so they can make stupid quips. I'm just calling that bullshit out.

How do you know that? Is there a quote, have you talked to Ballard lately, or Miss Chloe with the pyschic hotline

He said something like there was only 1 scout or coach that thought he could play rt.

I am sure you can find it if you look hard enough

Because you called someone who was clearly a part of the team's short term and long term plan a backup. This OL has 3 first round picks and a high second round pick. Talent is why that unit is performing well.
