Why, Chris Ballard, why?

When he was with the Giants, he was brilliant as a 43 DT. Seems to me that Ballard's just created a gaping hole on D that has to be filled.

Just not understanding the rationale.

Going hard after some DT who's more of a 1-gap penetrater.

Maybe he caught him in flagrante delecto with Mrs. Ballard.

Why not trade him? Surely someone like Bill Belichick would've given up a 3rd rounder for him?

Releasing Hankins makes the 2017 free agent class for the Colts look like a Ryan Grigson special...a steaming pile of cow dung.

I hope to god that Ballard is not thinking of taking Maurice Hurst at#6.

Ballard didn't sign any aging veterans or character problems to overpriced contacts. That's a Grigson special.
