Power Rankings

I know that most people here don't like power rankings at all, but ESPN has the Colts ranked at #9 for week 16. Pittsburgh is #8. Baltimore is #10. That's something I never would have believed going into the season, or six weeks into it.

I don't really believe in them as a concept, especially since the #9 team on their list today was probably near #32 after Week 6. That said, I am enjoying the Colts being the dreaded "team nobody wants to play".

During the 5 game streak we climbed up, But never really got above 17-18 (depending on whose rankings you use). After the Texans game we started rising quickly.

It wasn't that long ago that the SB participants were not just teams with a first round bye. It used to be the WC team that got hot at the end and rode the momentum.

Houston is the second seed right now, but does not crack his top ten. However, it would be hard to put them ahead of any other AFC team he has in the top ten.

The Colts would beat the Texans 8 out of 10 tries. Texans shouldn't have won the first meeting IMO

The Colts remained at #10, after closing out the season with a road win against the Titans.

The Bears moved up from #5 to #4, swapping spots with the Chargers.

The Chiefs moved up From #3 to #2, swapping places with the Rams.

Everybody else in the Top-10 remained the same, including the New Orleans Saints at #1 overall.

AFC East is truly awful, outside of NE. Two of them fired their head coach and the other one is a dumpster fire. Looks like they will not give up that division for a while.
