Doyle Might be Out for Season

Holder has it from a source:

VeveJones007 11-26-2018 04:54 PM

I remember a play yesterday where he grimaced and was slow getting up, but who knows if it's related.

omahacolt 11-26-2018 04:55 PM

IR is what I read. He is done

1965southpaw 11-26-2018 04:57 PM

Jack Doyle out for season

According to Stephen Holder. FUCK!!!!! That sucks if true.

Oldcolt 11-26-2018 04:58 PM

Well that sucks

Chromeburn 11-26-2018 05:05 PM

Heard IR on the radio. But they were referencing Holder.

FatDT 11-26-2018 05:16 PM

Well shit.

FatDT 11-26-2018 05:17 PM

I said it in the other thread but, shit. This sucks.

HoosierinFL 11-26-2018 05:24 PM

I saw it was a kidney injury on reddit.

fuckity fuck

1965southpaw 11-26-2018 05:32 PM

Reich just said he lacerated his Kidney!!!!

1965southpaw 11-26-2018 05:34 PM

Lacerated Kidney per Frank Reich. Fuckity, Fuck, Fuck, Fuck.

Get well soon, Jack!

DrSpaceman 11-26-2018 06:28 PM

That sucks

What is it with this team and lacerated kidneys?

Ebron can make up for the catches but he was an important blocker.

Spike 11-26-2018 06:51 PM

Damn it!

rcubed 11-26-2018 06:56 PM

Suck

Maniac 11-26-2018 07:33 PM

I'm guessing we will sign a blocking TE?

Don’t we have one on the roster now, I think Hewitt is his name? Time for Moe-Allie and Swoope to step up!!

Butter 11-26-2018 08:12 PM

Well, that fucking sucks.

GoBigBlue88 11-26-2018 08:37 PM

Man, that sucks. You can replicate the blocking with Hewitt, and you can replicate the receiving with Ebron/Swoope/Alie-Cox. But you don't get anyone who can do both.

I never even heard of that until Luck had his. Now we've had two of them. Sucks

Thorgrim 11-26-2018 11:01 PM

Feel terrible for him. I suppose we will be seeing some roster moves soon.

I'm actually surprised as hard as these guys get hit that it doesn't happen more in the league. A hard hit to the lateral lower back is all it takes.

But yeah I really don't recall another player in the NFL being diagnosed with it recently.

sherck 11-27-2018 07:28 AM

About the only silver lining is that he did not injure any of his ligaments, tendons, muscles or bones. His ability to stay in shape, work out and be football ready for next season is pretty unimpaired.

A small silver lining in that while on IR for this season, this should not impact him next season at all except to perhaps add the rib protection package to his shoulder pads.

But for 2018? Yeah, this sucks.

Walk Worthy,

Pez 11-27-2018 08:17 AM

For all I have heard about Jack Doyle and the few interviews I have seen, he seems like the kind of guy that is the most pissed about ending a season on IR.

Quality player, looking for Hewitt to step up, but I would imagine we will also look to grab a TE as well.

albany ed 11-27-2018 08:47 AM

That's a tough injury. Let's hope for a full recovery.

Dude, bumping this thread for an update during the off-season makes it look like he is out for the upcoming season. This is worse than clickbait.

Discflinger 02-28-2019 12:26 PM

I disagree. This is much better than getting Rick Rolled.

Only if you don't bother to see that it's the 3rd page of the thread, and that the OP was started in November.

Well first, it is not the third page, as I get 40 posts per page, Further, 25 posts in easily done in a day. Also, the thread does not say when it started until you click on it, not on the list. And last, but not least, three people so far have agreed with me.

Yes, I agree I thought after his surgery he was done for the year. I am ok with bumping an old post when warranted but some like this is B.S.

Note: I have started looking to see who last poster is …

Yes, it is the 3rd page of the thread ........ now, the 4th.

Sorry that you were inconvenienced. To me, it's very easy to check the OP/date of the thread without jumping to a conclusion that it's a new story.

TheMugwump 02-28-2019 11:34 PM

Perception is truth. If more than one of us saw the headline, saw that it was at the top of the queue, knew that Doyle had just had surgery, and then jumped to the conclusion that it meant this season, you need to maybe consider there is validity to our claims.

It's like yelling FIRE in a crowded movie theater, and then insisting that you meant the fire from months before. In the firepit. At a different location.

Okay, it's absolutely nothing like that. Still, you gave me a fright, and blaming the victim is not a valid explanation.

You need to change your settings to 40 posts per page instead of the default of ten. If you need help, one of the younger guys here could tell you how. I mean, I figured it out...

Thanks, I'll change it to 20. 40 is too much.
