Anyone interested?

Didn't Texas Tech get an injunction that allows him to play?

Dam8610 06-16-2026 02:24 PM

Ah, I see he declared today. I wouldn't be upset if the Colts bid a 3 for him. I think the winning team will bid a 2. I don't think the roster can withstand not having a Top 65 pick in next year's draft.

We already sent Isaiah Rogers packing, why bring in this bozo?

There are some that post here that say cutting Rodgers was a mistake. I was looking for their take.

Im also trying to understand where anyone for the idea he was any good in the first place. Literally what has he done to show he could be an NFL QB?

Two words, Art Schlichter!

Does anyone know when this will happen? All I can find is that it has to happen by July 16.

The official date has not been announced yet.

The reason why "on or before July 16" is being mentioned is because the NFL’s CBA states that if there is a supplemental draft it will take place “on or before the 7th calendar day prior to the opening of the first training camp.”

The first training camp is expected to open on July 23, which means the supplemental draft would need to take place at least seven days before that...July 16.

I agree with you, but I was curious about what others thought. I mean, we have posters here that agree with us now, but if the guy becomes a good quarterback, people will point back and say the team missed out on him, but will not go on the record now. I have to give Dam some credit, because he always stands on the table for guys he believes in. Most don’t do that, but use 20/20 hindsight to criticize.

Racehorse is out here trying to get receipts early.

My gut tells me passing on the guy wouldn't be incorrect because there's a fundamental character flaw there.

His priorities are already fucked.

I agree. Not worth the risk.

Appears the NFL is wanting to punt on the Supplemental Draft.

The NFL has informed teams that it will NOT be holding a Supplemental Draft, meaning Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby will not be eligible to enter the NFL in 2026.

The CBA allows the league to decide whether to hold a Supplemental Draft, and this year, it won’t.

In short, based on timing — inability to investigate the gambling issues in time — and the hope to avoid a distraction for teams prior to the season, there will be no draft. There is no other avenue for Sorsby to enter the NFL

Brendan Sorsby cannot be signed as a free agent. He can play in other professional leagues, but not the NFL in 2026, based on this news.
