Official NFL Playoffs Thread
Thought I would create a thread on the NFL Discussion Forum where we can discuss the NFL playoffs before, during, and after each game.
So far..... Texans 32 Chargers 12 Ravens 28 Steelers 14 Bills 31 Broncos 7 Eagles 22 Packers 10 None of these games so far have been classics, maybe this Tampa Bay Washington game will be competitive? |
This Tampa Bay / Washington game is pretty entertaining so far. Mayfield and Daniels are in a real QB duel!
10-10 at halftime |
Mike Evans is a beast! This is the best playoff game so far!

I gave this thread a promotional plug on the main board. o |

Is it me, or does it sound like there are a lot of Commanders fans down there in southwestern Florida ??? I've been hearing some pretty loud cheers whenever the Washington team picks up a key 1st down. o |

Wow, that was definitely the best playoff game this weekend!
23-20 Washington eliminates the Bucs! |

I thought that the Commanders made a mistake by waiting until there were only 2 seconds left to call their final time-out ...... if there was a bad snap, they would have been screwed. If they had called time-out with 5 seconds left, that would have left them enough time to spike the ball had there been a bad snap. And if the snap was good, time still would have expired by the time the ball went through the uprights and the referees made their "good" signal. But it worked out for them anyway, as the game-winning field goal was a successful bank-shot off of the right upright as time expired. o |
Rams putting it to the Vikings 24-3 at halftime!
Final 27-9 Rams eliminate the Vikings |
Divisional Round this weekend:
NFC (6) Washington Commanders at (1) Detroit Lions Saturday, 8 p.m. ET, Fox (4) Los Angeles Rams at (2) Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, 3 p.m. ET, NBC/Peacock AFC (4) Houston Texans at (1) Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, 4:30 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN/ESPN+ (3) Baltimore Ravens at (2) Buffalo Bills Sunday, 6:30 p.m. ET, CBS/Paramount+ |
I am really looking forward to both playoff games today. Both should be very competitive!
|
Be a shame if Taylor Swift was disappointed today....I'm pulling for the Texans to upset the Chefs! Great Googly Moogly!

That was a horrible roughing-the-passer call, which would have forced a Chiefs punt if it were not called. Calls like that can affect a game exponentially. o |

I'm rooting for the Chiefs, but I am glad that they did not get a touchdown on that drive ...... that would have been really unfair to the Texans. o |

Will Anderson is a beast!:D

13 - 6 KC at halftime, Houston has moved the ball but just not finishing drives.
|
Missed extra point bites the Texans...they are out playing the Chiefs but trail 13-12!
|
I have the Chiefs-Texans game on as well and watched most of the wild card games. Ideally the Chiefs win by 7 or 8, which will allow me to potentially double dip on multiple parlays I have going on. More important for me is for the Lions to cover tonight.
|
Second crap roughing the QB call against the Texans, total bullshit, both of them. Clay Martin must have money bet on the Chiefs!

That touchdown pass from Mahomes to Kelce just now was mildly reminiscent of the l "Sea of Hands" l catch, in the 1974 Divisional playoff game between the Raiders and the Dolphins. As was the case with Ken Stabler back in 1974, Mahomes was on his way down, almost on his knees, and he released the ball just before they touched the turf. https://i.makeagif.com/media/8-03-2016/hnGVCq.gif o |
DeMeco Ryans is getting out coached in this one, or Stroud is not calling an audible when he should....everyone watching the game knew KC was sending the house!
|
Game end now!
|
Texans have had their chances!
|
Well fuck. There goes my potential double dip

Come on Chiefs D. Just stop them here.

Sorry Norm, that sucks!

It does, but not the end of the world. I still have one parlay alive. Need the Lions and Iggles to cover (6.5).

I hate the Baltimore Ravens more than any professional sports franchise in the world ...... and that includes the New York Yankees. The Buffalo Bills are the first line of defense to prevent them from making it to the Super Bowl ...... the Kansas City Chiefs will be the second line of defense, should the Ravens beat the Bills tomorrow afternoon. o |
Final score KC 23 Texans 14
Now onto Detroit to see if Jayden Daniels can continue to pull off another miracle! |
o
The Chiefs were favored by 9.5 points, and that intentional safety that they took in the final seconds of the 4th quarter made the final margin of victory 9 ...... I wonder if Andy Reid will get any death threats from the lowlife gamblers ??? o |
