injuries
Could someone help me out, yesterday Pittman was dead, but alas, today he has risen and miraculously not ruled out of Sundays game. Taylor is out ( for now ) but Richardson, who was supposedly moving around yesterday pain free, today is limited, but not ruled out of Sunday's game. Now this a serious question, are teams allowed to fuck around with the injury reports to keep the opponent guessing, or is the Colts medical staff Moe, Larry and Curly ???

No idea what the fuck any of this means any longer. |
It means we all keep living the fantasy "Champeensheep"!!! :D

Yeah, my post about Pittman was as premature as Omaha is with Dam's mom.

The way this season is going, I’m going to assume Downs, Pitt, Taylor all miss the game Sunday. AR plays but gets hurt after throwing 2 interceptions and spotting the Titans a 14 point lead, which would be more than enough with our defense.
We could be successful with a young mistake prone quarterback and a good defense but we can’t and won’t be successful with that quarterback and a bottom 5 defense. Which is what we have. Along with all the injuries. This year reminds me more every week of 2022. |

The Battered Colts Beat the Titans, 20-17 (By Teresa M. Walker) https://sports.yahoo.com/joe-flacco-...202020779.html o |

Stephen Holder: l The Colts' 3-3 record is either an overachievement or underachievement, depending on your viewpoint. They have a disappointing, 30th-ranked defense (allowing 389.5 yards per game), but they've reached .500 despite a rash of injuries to QB Anthony Richardson (oblique), DT DeForest Buckner (ankle), and RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle). If the Colts can get healthy ...... the three aforementioned players are expected back soon ...... maybe Indianapolis can reach its ceiling this season. The upcoming stretch with the Texans, the Bills, the Vikings, and the Lions will probably tell the story. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...lesson-learned o |

Over the first quarter of the season, the Colts have had as many as a dozen projected starters sitting on the bench, nursing injuries.
Richardson Taylor Woods Kelly Fries Paye Ebukam Lewis Buckner Stewart Brents Moore In addition, Pittman has a bad back, Downs a toe, and Braden Smith is playing on one leg. And yet, through all that adversity, they’ve lost 3 games by a total of 11 points. I know that the default, rote response is next man up, but… Starters are starters for a reason, and Pro Bowlers like Taylor, Moore, and Buckner can’t be replaced by the likes of Taven Bryan, Trey Sermon, and Chris Lammons. The bottom line is that we can’t know just how good a team that Chris Ballard has put together until plaers are back on the field and not sitting in a whirlpool, communing with the training staff. |

I do hate Ballard, but when you look at it from a wide lens, you can't ignore some positive things. All of our games have been single possession games- so despite the crazy injury level, we compete no matter who is out there. Flacco- terrific signing, the perfect professional to fill and perform when needed OL- We very seldom say Rainman's name- that's a good damn thing. We've seen injury after injury and the guys that fill in appear to get the job done. The secondary, as fucked up as we often are back there, some of the low end dudes have shown the ability to again, fill in as necessary without completely shitting the bed. Unlike Frank, I think Steichen has developed a culture where guys want to play for him and as a result we are capable of winning or at the least hanging with anyone in the league. After Miami yes it is going to be a tough slog, but if we can just get a good healthy stretch from AR and JT this team should be right there battling for a playoff spot as the season closes. I would still like to see both Ballard and Bradley sent packing after the season unless we somehow pull together a serious playoff run. |

I think DeFo and Taylor are back this week and I am amped because I will be at the game. It'll be hot but I will be sporting 19.

I'll probably show up drunk and buy $10 beers for everyone surrounding me while they talk shit.

I might try this next time they come to Atlanta. |

I hope that the Colts don't force the issue, and bring them back before they are ready ...... if they did that, they probably wouldn't play very well, and they'd be risking recurrence/aggravation of their ankle injuries. This is a big game against the Texans, but these 2 players' long-term health is more important for the team. o |

I just happened to take a look over on dotcom a few minutes ago and, holy shit, there's a full-on AR meltdown going on over there. Lol. People are saying wild shit that, in other years, would have got you insta-banned. I guess the moderation has slipped or just given up in recent years over there since my banning.
What a shit show! It makes us look as rational as we always have been. Bunch of overreacting losers over there. |
