Ballard needs to get a real stud with his first pick. I mean he needs a real difference-maker. A stud pass-rusher, a stud pass-catcher. One elite difference-maker puts this team on par with all but one or two teams in the league.

CletusPyle 04-25-2024 07:41 AM

Lots of mock drafts have us getting Bowers, I can live with that! ESPN has us trading up with the Bears to get Bowers!

albany ed 04-25-2024 07:59 AM

Trading up, trading down. I would hope that Ballard explored every option. Whether he really pulls the trigger or not, he should know what's available for every option.

Chromeburn 04-25-2024 04:44 PM

Rumor on nfl radio colts are calling trying to trade up for Brock Bowers. Will probably have to get ahead of the jets. Guess it was a team in the 11-14 range bc they said if he falls out of the top ten.

Jets are one of those teams that could go anywhere. They need OL, which is what I've seen most projecting.

But shorter term, Bowers as a new toy for Rodgers is very appealing.

Dam8610 04-25-2024 05:28 PM

The only feasible choice that would upset me is Xavier Worthy at 15.

Not if they can't keep him upright.

Both their tackles are 33. They should take a tackle bc it drops off a lot after the first round. Fautanu is dropping bc of character concerns apparently but I bet they take Bowers. Too bad bc the jets is where players go to die. It’ll be a waste there.

Doubt they take him at 15. Probably a small trade back. He likely will be gone by the end of the 1st though so can’t trade back too far.

I bet their board is Bowers/BTj/trade back/worthy. If one of the DEs they like is there I would have him as a dark horse.

Hey, I'm not saying I would do it. But it's the Jets.

Agreed. Fautanu rumblings upset me. I want all of these guys taken ahead of us.

I agree on the trade back for Worthy

I’m guessing the board looks like

Bowers, Worthy, DeJean, Mitchell

Dam8610 04-25-2024 06:49 PM

Ideally Worthy isn't on the board. Much rather have Pearsall, even in Round 1 with a trade down.

It's weird because overall, I get this feeling that DeJean is really being slept on.

I don't know why I feel that way. Because he's still a projected 1st-rounder and several guys that I usually agree with have him as CB1 in this draft.

If he didn’t get hurt, he’d be the top DB in this draft easily

Well said, and I agree 100%. We have enough good players on our team. What we need is more elite/great players. I just have this concerning feeling that we're going to trade down a bunch and end up w/ a draft similar to 2019. Hope that's not the case.

AlwaysSunnyinIndy 04-25-2024 08:07 PM

Several teams are open to trading back from their Top 10 pick:

Quote:

After asking around, pretty clear much of the top 10 is at least moderately open for business on a potential trade-back:

3. Patriots: Open
4. Cardinals: Open
5. Chargers: 7-Eleven open
7. Titans: Willing to listen (soft open)
8. Falcons: Open
9. Bears: Open
10. Jets: Soft open

Racehorse 04-25-2024 08:15 PM

Pick already, Bears! Probably trading the pick for Trubisky

CletusPyle 04-25-2024 08:24 PM

Chicago Bears to Justin Fields....Fuck You!:D

Spike 04-25-2024 08:29 PM

Daniels gone, now it's the Patsies, lets hope they fuck it up as usual. They may not BB is gone.

Three picks. Three QB's.

Spike 04-25-2024 08:35 PM

Poor Drake Maye, he's going to a team devoid of talent. Patsies ain't got shit to help him.

AlwaysSunnyinIndy 04-25-2024 08:39 PM

First non-QB.

Cards take Marvin Harrison Jr.

At least he didn't go to the Cheats.

Arizona is one place I couldn't hate to see him go.

CletusPyle 04-25-2024 08:42 PM

I wonder if Ballard even tried to get that pick from Arizona?

I agree. Long as it wasn't the Cowboys, Steelers or Patsies.

I would add the Raiders, Seahawks, Jags and Titans

AlwaysSunnyinIndy 04-25-2024 08:48 PM

Chargers staying put and not trading.

They take OT Joe Alt.

He probably offered to give them 15 and swap 5th rounders, but when they said no it got too rich for his blood.

Fuck'em. After all of the wins* they got through cheating they deserve to lose every single game from here out.

IndyNorm 04-25-2024 08:53 PM

Come on Ballard. Grow some balls out of your vagina and trade up for Nabers!

AlwaysSunnyinIndy 04-25-2024 08:53 PM

Another WR off the board.

Giants draft Malik Nabers.

IndyNorm 04-25-2024 08:54 PM

At least Nabers isn't going to the Tits

ChaosTheory 04-25-2024 08:56 PM

Pretty standard mock draft so far.

The Falcons will probably change that.

ChaosTheory 04-25-2024 09:08 PM

No kidding, I thought the Donks might take him, but did not expect Pennix to go before JJ, though I like Penix better.

IndyNorm 04-25-2024 09:12 PM

Crazy. ATL probably could have drafted Penix in the 2nd round. Anyway, good for us!!
