Jacobs= signs 1 Yr $12M deal
Hey JT and associated agent. Wake the F up----- NO ONE IS GIVING OUT THE LONG TERM HIGH DOLLAR CONTRACT YOU EXPECT!
Come back here, let AR's threat get you back in the MVP conversation and go from there. |

I think it’s likely JT knows he has ankle issues and is trying to cash in now. That’s why the attitude and agent change. Why he supposedly got pissed at the team requesting he come in for a physical before camp. Why the treatment away from the team. Things weren’t healing properly and he’s trying to make sure he gets paid before they deteriorate or he lacks explosion on the field. He could be trying to make sure the Colts don’t Franchise him next year like Jacobs and Barkley. Or he could be trying to use the whole AR situation as leverage against the team. Plenty of comments nationally about how this is hurting AR. Either way, at this point I don’t want the team to commit to him long term. I simply want them to get value for him. Either on the field honoring his current contract or with draft compensation. I don’t trust his character or his health to give him a 4 yr contract. |
Nobody give running backs long contracts. I am leaning towards your thinking about this injury. We will know soon enough

Interesting how the RBs who threw a fit about being tagged and wanted long term deals have signed for $1M-$2M above what they would have gotten w/ the tag. Doesn't bode well for JT and his dipshit agent to get anywhere near the CMC money they seemingly are after.

Fuck that dude, I’m over it
RB by committee |
What if JT is injured and knows that he will never be the same back he was a couple of years ago, so his plan was to try to get a long term contract and some guaranteed money from the Colts or any other team willing to take the chance....if true, that would make him a real piece of shit!

Whatever.

He was a lot of fun to watch in 2021. Too bad it's all turned to shit. I'll miss him if he gets traded, but I understand.

I am betting that even if JT plays for us it will still be somewhat of a running back by committee. Nobody on this team can come close to being the home run threat JT is BUT in this day and age being able to run routes, catch the ball and most importantly pass block are more important attributes than breaking a 60 yard run every once in a while in my opinion.

To me, that's the difference- him coming back could put us on schedule to become a really dangerous offense in a much shorter time, and it could benefit his potential to get rewarded. Unfortunately he / his agent appear too dense to see the value of this potential. |
Yep, especailly when we the run options. When that isn't the plan, however, when we are going to pass and need blocking/receiving ability do you keep him in? The ability to keep JT fresh and mix up what the defense has to prepare for could prove to be fun for us to watch.

While the Colts have been in Indy.. They have had great RBs the likes of Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk and Edgerrin James... Colts won their one SB.. with Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes... Yeah I think I'll take my chances of not paying to have a superstar RB.

Rappaport was on Mac's show and says he thinks JT is going to be traded and that the Colts will get what they want for him. Lets hope so
