Should be FIRED??

Fire both Frank and Ballard?

Give Ballard another year with new coach?

Don't fire either one lets keep being a bad team?

I agree 100%

ChoppedWood 10-30-2022 09:55 PM

Gut it!

Start with Frank, tonight, have someone go in and throw all the shit in his office in bankers boxes and tell him thanks but fuck ya! Dude should NEVER ever be allowed to call another game in the sport of football- he coaches away from desire.

Ballard, meh, he can stay til the end of the year, nothing changing there anyway but come final whistle on our 17th game- shit can his ass as well!

ColtBlue 10-30-2022 10:09 PM

I don't think anyone good for coaching is going to come here. Until the team finds a franchise QB and stop band-aiding the position.

I believe that's going to be a very long time in all likelihood. Probably in for a decade or more of mediocrity no matter who is hired. I sure hope I'm wrong.

Both need to go. Their time is up

Tony Dungy, Pete Carroll, Mike Tomlin, Andy Reid,….. you dont need a sob to get positive results.

What ever profession, you get better results raising people up, not beating them down.

MeSayDayo 10-31-2022 08:34 AM

Isn't John Fox in the house still?

He has interim coach written all over him.

I can name a bunch of successful SOBs if you want me to! :D

Just because you are an SOB doesn't necessarily mean you tear people down, it means you hold people accountable and believe in discipline and personal responsibility!

I have never met a SOB who had good people skills. You can hold people accountable, without being being an a hole/ dick/ SOB, and it takes less energy on your part to get people to by in.

Well, just about anybody that actually holds people accountable and demands discipline is called an SOB, especially by the people who enjoy playing the victim instead of taking personal responsibility for their actions.

I guess. but holding people accountable and being an asshole are different things.

CletusPyle 10-31-2022 12:46 PM

I guess it all comes down to how you define SOB, when I say SOB I'm not thinking an asshole that treats people like shit, I am just thinking of a tough guy that doesn't take shit, and is very demanding of those that work for him. They guy might be a little arrogant and maybe not always politically correct, he might be confrontational at times, but rewards good play when warranted. Guys like that are going to be loved by some and hated by others, but they often get a lot accomplished.

Irsay always seems to hire the nice guys, Pagano, Caldwell, Reich...I agree Dungy is a good coach and a nice guy, so 1 out of 4 turned out to be a good hire! I just think we need to try someone with a little more of an edge and someone that will toughen this team up a little...I don't want dirty play, but I would like to see more aggression and attitude! Just my opinion of course....

Good question. One that should be answered by Irsay.

I think Frank is a good coach and done the best he can do with what talent he is been given. That falls on Ballard, getting band-aid QBs, neglecting the LT position, being to conservative in free agency, paying too much money in the wrong positions.

Has Ballard gotten talented players? Of course he has. Just not the most important positions that are needed to win in the NFL. He has had plenty of time to be aggressive getting a QB and LT and decided to be arrogant about it, so he neglects it.

I can not put all this blame on one person (Frank). He has coached well with what players he has. Never been handed a franchise QB but he can still be mediocre with shit QBs. He did pretty well with a over his prime Rivers I would like to see what he could do with a good young QB.
Frank called the best game he could against Washington with a 6th RD pick QB who is never going to be a starter after this season and almost won.

I think Sam did pretty good. He will be tested next week facing a lot better defense for sure.

So to your question, why are they still here?
Where are you Irsay???? lol

Dungy had an edge, he played DB for the Steelers. I was at Colts camp when he stopped practice after 2 players got into a scuffle. We could hear every word and he was not yelling. The tone was dead serious and fighting was not going to be tolerated, and he would cut anyone for fighting with a teammate. Cant do it in a game, cant do it at practice.

You can set standards and have success without being a dick. You back up your words with action.

He had an edge all right. Peyton Manning
But yes Dungy was a great coach....
