The "official" UH OH its time to go to Jacksonville game day thread !!!

With the injuries the Colts have, I'm hoping Colts 24 - Jagoffs 21

Racehorse 09-18-2022 08:39 AM

This game always has me worried. Now we go in with a bunch of ???? at WR. Hoping the field will be sloppy and Taylor carries us to a 7-3 victory.

I believe one of those ?s is going to rise up today! Colts 27-17

Chromeburn 09-18-2022 09:21 AM

Debating whether to drive over to see the game or not.

AlwaysSunnyinIndy 09-18-2022 09:23 AM

It would be nice if one of the TE's stepped up and had a big game today.

Don't care which one - someone just needs to step up.

Lov2fish 09-18-2022 09:40 AM

Young guys step up today, Ryan redeems himself from last week, Colts 31, Jags 13

IndyNorm 09-18-2022 10:16 AM

Appreciate the optimism, but realistically speaking it's going to be a tough day IMO.

We get off to one of our all too familiar slow starts as the Jagoffs stack the box again making it tough running for JT, and without Pittman we won't be able to make them pay for it. After being down 17-3 at the half, we claw back a bit in the 2nd with a nice 2nd half for Ryan, Dulin, Strachan, and Hines, but fall up short 24-17

YDFL Commish 09-18-2022 10:19 AM

Big day for Michael Strachan.

Thorgrim 09-18-2022 10:21 AM

Too many injuries and coaching issues to overcome. My head tells me 23-20 Jags. My heart says Jags implode with horrendous mental mistakes, sloppy play, and ball security issues leading to a Colts victory 30-9.

If we lose this game I don't see our chances of making the playoffs as better than an 0-2 team, about 11%

omahacolt 09-18-2022 10:49 AM

C on the title

official in title so that was a plus. didn't have colts vs (making fun of jags) in it so that is a major downgrade.

still early in the season so i am sure we can improve as the season goes on

i could see big Mo Cox having a good day. Granson will probably make a few plays and drop some passes.

We don't have any. MAC and then...nada. Maybe all they do is block or something.

oh the days of Jack Del Rio coaching. you could always rely on his teams doing something stupid to help us win

The Colts will win on a late field goal by their new kicker, whoever that is.

A loss today and things get really interesting.

To get handed the gift of your first 2 games against the 2 worst teams in your division and to come out of it without a win, with the Chiefs and a more than likely desperate Titans team coming up, will piss Jimmy off to no end.

At that point, 0-3-1 becomes very possible.

Fwiw, I think they lose today. I’d have more confidence if Pittman were playing but losing him is to much to overcome. And that is entirely on Ballard. There is NO reason that a veteran wide receiver wasn’t signed.

Puck 09-18-2022 12:38 PM

24-16 Colts

I'm a fan of Ballard, but he deserves a shitload of heat if the WR group struggles today and there wasn't an attempt to sign a decent veteran guy out there.

Like if he would have done that and the player still sucked, that's one thing. But this team desperately needs a TY Hilton type on the team, and he's done nothing about it.

Understatement of the season to this point. I'm nervous today.

ChaosTheory 09-18-2022 12:54 PM

Hope Hines gets some carries on the motion sweep. Looked open a few times last weeks. Loosen up the box for Taylor as well.

Also keeping an eye out for Raimann rotating with Pryor. He got about a dozen snaps last week. Some of those were jumbo formation.

Brylok 09-18-2022 12:59 PM

RIP Captain Tuttle.
I'm watching MASH before the game starts. Nervous today.

Yep, and it’s not like everyone wasn’t saying it. It’s been a question mark since the end of last season.

I am also a fan of Ballard and I know he believes in giving his young players a chance, but he signed a 37 year old quarterback. The guy needs all the help he can get.

There was money to do it. There were good players available. He just refused to do it and now he’d better be praying he was right.

If not, he’s gonna catch hell and rightfully so.

nate505 09-18-2022 01:03 PM

They elected to receive.

Interesting. I would rather defer, but whatever.

nate505 09-18-2022 01:04 PM

Great first pass. Wow, Hines in the slot could be something.

nate505 09-18-2022 01:08 PM

That was really bad by Ryan. Really bad. I thought he was a better QB than that.

Agree!!!!! Wide receivers are so important in today's game. Ballard's apparent lack of understanding this is mind numbing. Who the fuck do the Colts have outside of Pittman? Tight End room isn't much to write home about either, at least not yet. Irsay has a shitload more patience than I do.

YDFL Commish 09-18-2022 01:09 PM

When did Ryan become retarded?

BCN#1 09-18-2022 01:10 PM

WTF Matty... not the smartest decision yo!

nate505 09-18-2022 01:12 PM

Some great run defense to start with.

Here's where we find out if the pass rush is good

nate505 09-18-2022 01:13 PM

And it's not

nate505 09-18-2022 01:15 PM

This start sucks so far

ChoppedWood 09-18-2022 01:17 PM

This is starting, like a Frank Reich start. Dumb INT and a really DUMB hit by Franklin.

Frank Reich team's just aren't very smart at football... though he is, yes, of course he is.

Brylok 09-18-2022 01:18 PM

I wish we had Lawrence or a similar young QB to build around. I guess most teams/fans do...

ChoppedWood 09-18-2022 01:18 PM

I for one, am really glad to see we appear to have decided though Ebersuck is gone, we will continue to play Ebersuck D in his honor.

Colts are a hard fucking team to watch, especially against the Jackoffs.

YDFL Commish 09-18-2022 01:20 PM

So smart dropping Quity Paye into coverage, fuck you Bradley!

The drive is alive because of them going for it on a 4th down you would have bitched and whined about if it was Reich. Just STFU already. We fucking get it - everything is because Reich sucks

Yeah a hand off from the slot corner to the DE on a drag route- that's next level genius right there!
