Espn report Wentz might be welcome in Tampa Bay
Sports center report. Yeah, Bruce Areans, mr warm and fuzzy, that will work.
Bill Barnwell report: Bucs should trade for Wentz. RG3 thinks its a good idea. He would be an upgrade over what the Bucs have in house |
Maybe they'd trade us Kyle Trask, their 2nd round pick last year, for Wentz? Probably not, but might be worth asking.

Arians would get more out of Wentz than Reich did....I think this is a real possibility, give Arians another chance to show Irsay that he screwed up when he let him go!
I realize, it would have been nearly impossible not to welcome Chuck Pagano back, but he should have made Arians the Head coach and offered Chuck the DC job. Sorry, how many players have lost their job because of injury? Arians would probably refused to do it, but he should have tried..... |
We can’t get that lucky, then we could just send that pick to the 49ers for Jimmy

That's the problem with trying to find a truly dominant QB, they don't grow on trees and cost an absolute fortune to obtain. Rodgers is clearly the best QB who might be available, how much is it going to take to trade for him, and even then can anyone really guarantee he is going to be able to continue to perform at his current levels for the next 3-4 years, which is what you need to be able to get out of a trade of the magnitude it would take to get him. The next level down is Russell Wilson, and he has been great in recent years, but i don't know, and i can't quite put my finger on the reason why, but I am not sold on him as a Colts QB. The QB i would most like the Colts to look at trying to obtain is Jameis Winston. For what it would likely take to get him, he in my mind is the guy most likely to be able to move this franchise forward from a QB perspective without handicapping them too much financially and resource wise. He throws a nice ball, can read a defense, but is a risk taker, which is something i don't mind from a QB. That epitomizes what Manning was for much of his career. And no i am not comparing the two as being equals! |

Wentz truthers? Jesus it is called a difference in opinion. You are not god that knows the real ‘truth’ about this QB or any other person alive.

I didn’t think people still supported Wentz on this site. I don’t know how much more proof people need to see. |

Wentz had ups and downs and much of it is mechanics. You could see that on the game replays. I think his footwork is atrocious, which can directly affect his throwing. With all of the negative press, and no one from the Colts or players stepping up………… its going to be a long off season |

After watching that Warner video snd confirming what I suspected all season. Seeing him rely on the RPO because he can’t read a defense. He pigeon toes his throws. He has been doing it since before he was drafted. Has never fixed it. The entire team sucked at Jacksonville. But it wasn’t just that game. Both Jackdonville games, both Titans games, NE, etc. His analytics place him in the 20-25 range of starting QBs, and his accuracy was 27th. CPOE. I don’t know why anyone would want to ride that roller coaster again. Can’t believe the Eagle fans did it for so long. |

I believe you guys about how horrific Wentz was at missing open guys. Goes along with. Ballards ‘make the layups’ comment. Why the hell did he get over 70% of the reps then? If this was a season long thing and not just being pissed off about the last two games then they should have known that they were going to move on from him early enough to sit his ass and save us a #1. To move on from him like this seems like amateur time on our part. Apparently nobody had the balls to make the decision until it was to late. Shit

I will say they do not like to make knee jerk reactions, they like to wait till the end of the year. And we were in the race for a playoff spot. I actually think his Raiders game was worse, and he had a 4.4 QBR at jacksonville. |

I should add that the most likely reason we have not heard a peep about TY retiring is that he is waiting to see if Wentz is gone or not. He wants a real QB (Luck was the man) and Wentz is just not it.

Look at the last 3 years. He missed 45% of the games this year. He has had leg injuries, not good for a speed guy. I would love to see him back as a #1 wr, but evwn he has mentioned retirement. https://coltswire.usatoday.com/2022/...le-retirement/ |

To TY, I bid a fond farewell. He was a great Colt. But he is toast, and we need to look forward.
As for Wentz going to TB? I doubt it, but its possible. Best possible landing spot that his useless ass that he could hope for at this point. Same could be said for the Steelers. Both have weapons on O, both coming off a season with a retiring HOFer at QB. Personally, I think both of those franchises go young at QB because the coaches have the leash RIGHT NOW to go young and develop a kid. If you bring in a Wentz type that is basically risking shortening your coaching or GM leash by at least a year or two wasted on that guy. Especially for fanbases as proud and known for consistency as the Steelers. See what the Patriots did as an example. Only difference is I don't think a lot of teams will voluntarily waste a year on a guy like Newton (Wentz) when they have both kind of proven the player they are at this point. Wentz being packaged with a Wilson or Carr almost makes more sense at this point then a team looking to feature him. TB might be okay with a stopgap but I don't see Pitt being okay with it. |

Sounds like TY might be back. If he is then hopefully it's a very cap friendly deal and Ballard doesn't just stop there like he did last offseason.

Reggie was TYs favorite player and he would play him in Madden. Getting to work with him again would be a big plus. TY is about to break a bunch of records and having him as a 3rd 4th receiver would be nice.
Arian’s has said several times Wentz is intriguing. I think from the lack of movement at the QB position, it drives up the value of Wentz. Washington and Tampa both could use him. Man imagine going from Tom Brady to Wentz. Lol |
