I usually pick 10-6 but went 9-7 because of pagano
|
11-5 but 12 wins wouldn't surprise me
|
I'm going 11-5, they should, and I emphasize SHOULD, start 4-1 !!
|
A lot depends on when Luck is back to being normal (or new and improved).
|
9-7 or 10-6.
Wild card birth maybe? |
I am waiting on a prediction until we see if Luck is starting the season
I happen to think he will, but if I am wrong, its makes a world of difference. If he plays the whole season I will say 10-6. If he cannot play for a good part of the season, this is a 5 or 6 win team |
With Luck: 9-7 or better
Other than bottom feeders like CLE, SF, etc., I think we'll lose whatever games Luck doesn't play. Voted 9-7 |
I took 10-6, but wouldn't be shocked to see 11-5.
|
If Luck plays week one and isn't particularly rusty to start the year, 8-9 wins.
If he doesn't, 6-7 wins. Sorry, after the past 2 seasons of mediocrity, I can't predict any better. I hope I'm wrong. |

Agreed. IF Luck is back for the fiest game of the season and plays well (as he usually does), I'm going with 11-4-1. o |
I hate to be a pessimist but my first thought was 7-9. I have that little faith in Pagano and it looks like the South is improving.
That being said if Luck is there for 14 games and is actually healthy he might will alone them to 9 or 10. |
Really the worst thing that can happen is another 9-7, 10-6 record, limp into the playoffs and fail to make it far again. Which unfortunately I think is where this is headed. Then Irsay will again be arguing for Pagano to come back
Hopefully Ballard will be able to talk him out of it this time in this scenario. |
Luck won't be "Luck" until Week 6 at the earliest. 7 wins.
|
8-8 is our new 12-4.
|
I had predicted 7-9 when the schedule first came out, but since it looks like Luck will probably miss the start of the season I'm going with 5-11.
|
You guys are hilarious!!!!!!
7-9 wins!! you got to be fucking kidding me killing me smalls!!! And how the fuck do you guys figure he will not be ready for week 1? |
I say 9 wins just because I think we will have some cupcake games that we win even while playing badly. I think the defense will look better but we'll struggle w/QB play at first because Luck isn't ready, and because of coaching.

The more I hear from the front office the more I think Luck won't be starting the season, might be ready sometime in the first month but not for week one. Don't know that for sure, just my impression.
Luckily the schedule is not too bad to start the season and the divisional games don't really get going until October. The Sept games are Rams, Cardinals and Cleveland. Then there is Seatle week 4, SF week 5. Say the Colts can beat Cleveland and one other game there, 2-3 in that stretch without Luck. Tenn is week 6, he better be back by then or the team is screwed, might as well starting thinking about next year. Steelers game is a loss. Lose at least two division games I think. That is already 6 losses even if they win all the rest. The team is uneven under Pagano and is likely to lose some games they expect to win. I am going with another 8-8 season. Take our lumps another year and continue to build the D and O line for next year. I hope I am wrong. If Luck makes it back earlier than October or only misses a few weeks, it could be a 9-10 win season. Just wouldn't count on it. |
And I don't want to sign a QB like Kap or anyone else just for the even 4 or 5 games Luck might be out. Just play through it, do the best we can, focus on improving the D and look to the future.

The team really is 1-2 years away, at best, from serious contention, so no need to make a desperate move to win a few games. Remember how the Kerry Collins move worked out? |

This team has the 27th rank overall roster. It's complete garbage.
Don't think we'll make 8 wins. |
The most "We do what we do" Colts way for this season to go:
Luck doesn't play until week 4. In the first three weeks, Pagano goes with the veteran Tolzien, backed by a heaping helping of coachspeak about how he needs the veteran's eyes out there on the field as a second head coach (because the first coach isn't very good). The offense is predictably stuck in neutral all three weeks except for a few "blind squirrel finds a nut" plays that keep the score close. Undaunted, Pags gives up on his line of thinking near the end of week 3's game and decides to go with a QB who can actually make plays with his feet when the receivers, again predictably, can't seem to consistently get separation. The O-line yields several sacks that even the '98 Broncos line would've been hard-pressed to hold their blocks long enough for such incompetent route design. Anarchy reigns by the time Luck comes back with the team at 0-3 or possibly 1-2. He's as stale as a 3 PM donut at Dunkin Donuts and looks like a guy who hasn't played since December--thatsthejoke.gif--anyway, this feels like a 5-11 or 6-10 season. |
and who wants to change their prediction ???
|
5-11... slow start, still can't block shit, Luck's life in danger
still can't put on pressure. Still can't run the ball. |
