SB Contest

Ok I need some ideas for a SB contest for Freaks

There WILL be an actual prize this yr . And it will be a very good one

Need ideas

Closets to score?

MVP?

Most rushing yards?

Give me some ideas

Puck 01-29-2020 08:10 PM

Pretty sure this is not gambling if no one has to pay an entry fee . Correct? But I may have to 1099 your ass if you win....

smitty46953 01-29-2020 09:46 PM

Correct winner, using final score as "Tie Breaker"

Puck 01-30-2020 06:04 PM

Man this place is dead!

Can't even offer a prize and get some interaction.

JAFF 01-30-2020 06:31 PM

KC the winner

52-50

Pez 01-30-2020 06:32 PM

Agree with smitty... winner and score. 49ers win, 30 to 27

You need to do some recruiting

Well recruit old man!!!!

Puck 01-30-2020 09:06 PM

Thinking a Firestick /android box with Anytime TV for a yr to the winner . Ill have Josh chime in on the better option.

Free Sunday Ticket free baseball, BB and free everything, and I mean everything

I want more than just score for tiebreaker

Give me 2nd 3rd options on tiebreaker

make it different

Other wise Smitty or C&O will run away with it

I think MVP should be in there too. Thats a hard one to pick

smitty46953 01-31-2020 12:13 AM

Post the rules, appears most went with score of game but I am game for all suggestions as long as you grade them. LOL

Since I got lucky with the overall post-season picks (9-1 overall, with the Super Bowl still to be played), I may as well go ahead and get my ass kicked with a lousy prediction in the 2019 season finale .........

llllllllllllllllllllllllll. SAN FRANCISCO 49ers llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llll 34

llllllllllllllllllllllll.., KANSAS CITY CHIEFS llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llll.., 29

MVP has historically gone to the QB of the winning team, even when Brady didn't deserve it.

And Addai should have an MVP Also. But your probably right. The RBs could make it interesting this time though

I’m thinking

Total points scored

Tie breakers
1. Wining team score
2. Total passing yards
3. Total rushing yards
4. Pick a number between I am 100. If it comes to that Haha

Doubt we’ll need all the tie breakers but just in case

Should be easy to grade. If this is good I’ll post it

Also, while the American Civil War was raging in 1862 between the Union and the Confederacy, an argument can be made for Matt Snell being the MVP instead of Joe Namath when the Jets beat the Colts.

I watched video replays of that Super Bowl and I would say that Earl Morrall was the MVP for the Jets.

Smitty, I'm just curious ...... were you a Colts fan back then, or did you start rooting for them after they moved to Indy in 1984 ???

After moved to Indy. I was a Rams fan as a kid. Met Merlin Olsen and Deacon Jones when I was about 6 or 7 so became fan.

You're welcome, but I hated it. After 3 years and 10 months, I was called into the office of the officer that handled re-enlistments. He looked at my service record and saw that I was married. He said to me "so Sarge, I see you're married, how does your wife like the Air Force? I replied "Sir, she hates it almost as much as I do" He replied, "I guess we have nothing more to discuss" - Copy that sir.

Had similar conversation, but not about being married. Was offered the world. I declined. Have thought many times it was a bad choice to not stay in, except I would have not met Mrs Puck. So all is good
