Colts select Evan Hull, RB Northwestern

Kent Lee Platte

Evan Hull is a RB prospect in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 9.32 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 119 out of 1740 RB from 1987 to 2023. http://ras.football/ras-information/...l=Northwestern

OL could have really used some more help.

Butter 04-29-2023 03:58 PM

Yes, a bit disappointed in the lack of IOL.

Guessing none of the OGs/OCs that we liked had a high enough RAS score for Ballard, and now we can just keep our fingers crossed and hope that Fries improves, Kelly and Nelson are back to their '22 form, and that they all stay healthy

Hull will push Deon Jackson.

Dam8610 04-29-2023 04:20 PM

Maybe they took Freeland to move Braden back inside?

I was thinking the same thing.

We could very well be rolling with Fries at RG, but it's also really early. Not putting a team out next week. Still have three picks, UDFA's, vet FA's, waviers...

Braden Smith moving inside is plausible, but unlikely. Especially if we're talking '23. Freeland seems like he'll need time (if he even becomes a better option than Smith).

I know. There's still time. Although chances we find an upgrade for '23 with our remaining draft picks and through UDFA are pretty slim. Maybe we can find a decent FA. Just frustrating since it seemed like there were plenty of OG/OCs who fit the bill that we could have drafted.

Agree on Smith. On top of Freeland probably needing time, putting Smith at OG would put us back to having 0 OT depth.
