All I know is that would be a legendary left side of the line. So until it’s not a possibility I’m gonna hope for it but we’re in a great position either way

Why so big on Darrisaw? I get he's good, but not so much better than a Liam Eichenberg or Dillon Radunz that he's must have in Round 1. Also, don't count on Schwartz having any impact on the free agency market.

Being here in Chapel Hill/Durham (ACC country) I've seen him play several times, and he reminds me of Nelson with the way he plays mean. IMO, he's a better run blocker than pass blocker, although that could be because VaTech wasn't much of a passing team.

I just like the kid, and think he'll be a great fit. And while I admit I don't know much about Radunz or Schwartz, I'm not sold on Eichenberg. I know his stats show him not allowing a sack for 30+ games, but if you watched many Irish games, you'll know that Book was under constant pressure from all angles against quality defensive lines, and he was a wizard at escaping pressure and making plays. Eichenberg wasn't particularly stout, IMO.

I didn't even know Eichenberg never allowed a sack, that's impressive. I watched several ND games, Book being under pressure was more on Book than the ND OL. He liked to dance in the pocket and wait for something to come open, often holding the ball for 4-5 seconds. That's asking to get sacked as a modern day QB. I watched Eichenberg's pass pro and it seemed solid to me. He occasionally misread, but he rarely got physically beat. The former can be coached out.

I think he's the type of player that fits the Colts well and Ballard will target.

Draft the LT and bring in mid-level FA LT as insurance. Get Edge in FA. I trust Ballard to get the right guy there. Bring back Rhodes. Sign 1 FA WR (Brown or Hilton). Look hard at TE in the draft Pitts or Freiermuth.

I advocate signing free agents and drafting future players for both LT and DE if the value is right. That's going to be a lot harder to achieve at DE.

The Bucs pass rush and the Chiefs not having their starting OTs was the difference in that game. I'd like to see Ballard get Ngakoue and Lawson early then bargain shop for a third piece at DE.

Honestly we have an opportunity to have the best guard and possibly the best LT in football on the same dam line, drafting a LT you may get a serviceable guy but I’m talking Blue Wall shit here this could be epic

Draft lt and trust cb

Discflinger 03-15-2021 02:33 AM

I am in Arizona and can say to get a fa edge...Lawson... and get the rest. 2 de in fa and a cb. Draft the rest.

Discflinger 03-15-2021 02:35 AM

We will probably draft back. Lord, I love BDB!
