is he a pussy? maybe. I have had back issues so i understand the inability to do things with a fucked up back. could he have played through it? no clue. I don't know and neither do you.

there are plenty of things to criticize him for that we know are issues. I assume if he could play, he would have.

AR seems to be the type of guy who wants to play every game. I think he would have played if he could have.

So what are you guys implying here?

The team is not letting him play?

Bull fuckin shit… if he wanted to play he would’ve been out there. If they’re babying him to this degree it’s no wander this team is soft as Charmin

We are aware of at least one instance where it was stated Richardson wanted to go back in and Steichen opted to sit him. At the time I thought it was a good move designed to encourage him to protect himself. Now I think that’s giving the organization too much credit. Regardless there is at least one instance we know of where he wanted to play and the team said no. After not allowing him to talk to the media, I’m very curious if this was another or not.

Listening to all these talking heads and all the leaking of dudes being late to meetings, refusing physical treatment to get back on the field, etc...

It sounds like this thing is just absolutely rotting from the inside out. So, with that said, I would not be surprised in the least if this latest issue with AR being "sore" isn't yet another "suspension" with Steichen trying to use his control over AR as a means to convey control. In doing so, to me at least it says he has NO control over this group. This whole thing stinks and needs to be sanitized by a raging fire.

Steichen may have no control because those above him are either overruling him or are just apathetic.

I appreciated it when coaches weren't afraid and were allowed to criticize players for lack of effort, poor attitude, or just be dumb as rocks!

They could do that.

They could move the team to Louisville, and become the Kentucky Colts ...... and if that happened, perhaps the fans in the city of Indianapolis can evolve into the same narcissistic crybabies that the fans in the city of Baltimore became when they lost the Colts, and bitch and moan for the next 40 years about how their team and their culture was stolen from them.

None of that. The dude has an injury preventing him from being effective.

I am implying that he wasn't healthy enough to play. that if he was healthy enough to play, he would have.

you are implying that he just didn't want to play. which is very unlikely

So someone told him he couldn’t play and he agreed.

I’m sure if it were up to doctors Peyton Manning would have missed a lot of games.

If he wanted to play I’m sure he can over ride medical advice, it’s football. So again if they’re babying him and expecting the rest of the team to play thru everything I’m not surprised guys started booking trips to Cancun before the Giants game

PM played with a broken jaw for multiple games of the 2001 season. In fact he missed only missed 1 play I believe.

Luck played with a lacerated kidney, among multiple other injuries.

Bert Jones played with a what amounted to a separated shoulder.

Something tells me that AR just isn't cut out for the NFL. But time will tell.
