Pitts may be the best player in this draft regardless of position.

And without a Qb who will notice? Do you think Buffalo would look so good without Allen?

You dont take Dallas Clark in the first 5 picks. But somebody will, and the internet Will do what it always does, lose its collective shit

A little commentary on all the record breaking 40 times at pro days this year. And of course a last little comment about the Colts not really doing anything.

If you're a good to great team who has a need at TE, I don't see the harm in taking Pitts early. Now a team that's still building, that's a different story.

In the last 10 years, there have been only 2 TE's selected in the Top 10 of the draft. It doesn't happen too often, but it does happen.

The two TE's drafted were Eric Ebron and TJ Hockenson. In both cases, the Detroit Lions were the team that drafted them.

A little more then 10 years ago, but Vernon Davis

It’s all about creating mismatches. There are only three game changing TEs in the NFL. That’s how rare a true weapon at TE is. Kittle, Kelce, Waller. Those are the guys nfl defensive coaches are drawing up plans to stop. Hockenson could join this group if he has a competent QB.

Pitts is so good now, he could join this group right away. You just don’t see weapons like him at TE, it’s super rare. If you watch him against Alabama, he should have been unstoppable. He was held back by QB play. If you can match him with a good QB, I don’t know how you defend him. Corners aren’t big enough, LBs can’t cover well enough. If I’m Cincinnati, I’m thinking really hard whether to get him or Chase. They probably go chase to reconnect him with Burrow. But man Pitts could be a hof TE.

Drafting a tight end that early would almost be as stupid as drafting a guard in the top 10. If the guy is a game changer, it doesn't matter his position

Dam is right though, he's still the best player in the draft not named Lawrence.
I damn sure wish the Colts had a chance at Pitts. I would take him in a heartbeat.

To get to the present draft position, have the 49ners gained or lost picks?
