They tell me that if properly repaired and healed (and here you have a real concern, that AR doesn't heal properly-a distinct if very low possibility. He had the best in the world doing the repair so I am guessing it was done correctly) he shouldn't have to worry about it separating again. If it does, the separation would be the least of his worries-he would have sustained a massive injury-very, very unlikely. The man should be fine, shoulder wise.

Yeah, if you look strictly at the back-up QB's who were intentionally signed to be back-up QB's (for example, I am not counting Trey Lance who was drafted 3rd overall in the 2021 draft and has a high salary from his draft slot), there are only two contracts at $7M or higher:

Jacoby Brissett - $8M on a 1 year contract (big step-up from the previous season at $4.65M)

Taylor Heinicke - $7M AAV via a two year, $14M contract

After those two contracts, there is a gap and then there are a few in the $5M AAV range.

And you could say that Washington and Atlanta paid a premium for Brissett and Heinicke because they were planning to use somewhat unheralded, unproven, young QB's - Sam Howell had only played one game as a rookie and Desmond Ridder only played in 4 games. Both of those teams wanted a decent back-up in case they had to pull the plug on the young QB's.

....and now Vrabel is gone, too. Tennessee parted ways with him today.

Titans fired head coach Mike Vrabel, per sources.

Vrabel led Tennessee to four consecutive winning seasons after arriving in 2018, but the Titans have experienced back-to-back frustrating seasons, finishing multiple games under .500 both times.

Titans’ Owner Amy Adams Strunk wanted fresh perspective in the coaching staff after a 6-18 stretch over the last two seasons, including 1-9 in division games.

Jaguars also fired their DC and a bunch of position coaches.

Thanks for the info. )

We also have a thread in the NFL section that was started last year in regard to Tennessee's "Titanic Fall" in the 2022 season, which has continued throughout the 2023 season.

I love having incompetent owners and front offices in division. The day Jack Easterby was fired from the Texans was a very sad day.
