Hypothetically if they stay, what's different about last season?...

You'd have the same DEF system, same ST system, and a play-calling (maybe) HC that comes from the same Pederson-Reich-Sirianni umbrella. So the only big difference that would seem to jump out is the demeanor and energy of a young HC.

I would add in one big piece of the puzzle, and that is a young QB who is not a washed up old statuesque QB. And that will make a heck of a lot of difference. Nobody was winning anything with the QB's we had the last couple of years, NOBODY!

Pederson and Siriani have done quite well with good QB's.

True. And so did Reich in '18 and '20.

I'm not even thinking about that. I'm just going to be happy to have a new head coach, new QB, and some optimism again! I've been turning into a curmudgeon in recent times.

A good QB, and an EXCELLENT offensive line in 2020.

Philip Rivers had the mobility of an inanimate object when he was 39 years-old in that 2020 season ...... the Colts went 11-6 in the regular season, and Rivers was literally untouched by the Buffalo Bills' defense in the Wildcard playoff game in northwestern New York State.

And now that I think about it ...... even Jim Caldwell, who was a sub-par head coach with a terrible sense of when and when not to call timeouts, did well with a good QB in the 2009 season. The team that he was coaching made it to the Super Bowl.

Just wondering, did anyone see Steichen get on that plane heading to Indy ??? I would have thought with all the hours spent interviewing him, one would have assumed all the T's had been crossed !!!

Dakich is saying the Colts screwed the Eagles by leaking the news on the day of the Super Bowl…insinuating that Steichen might be pissed off and having second thoughts of signing. Dakich is one bitter dude right now!

Well, I would think they only got as far as making an offer and Steichen accepting. As far as the contract goes, lawyers are going to lawyer. I'm thinking that later this evening would be on the earlier end of the spectrum. Tomorrow more likely, possibly later than that.

It was that little shit Schefter that did the leaking, I hope the Colts didn't burn the bridges with the Callahan camp !!
