Even then I don't like it. Starting the 2nd half is always better. If you're down in the game, you get a chance to change the momentum. If you're up, you get a chance to really step on their throat.

Unless it's a career ending injury for Gardner, I find it hard to believe the deal will be that bad. Like this year it's probably the 24th or so pick, and hopefully next year it's the same. Not that anyone likes to lose two picks like that, but Gardner at a pro bowl type form is worth it.
