I said this very fucking thing in the game thread. Go to your local fucking elementary school, poll every coach there over the next 40 years on their approach in that same scenario- they are heading to the locker room. Unreal that he fucking did that, unfucking real! To me, this tops the fucking stupidity of the Pats fake FG, and that's astonishing to say.

From high school to pros you would expect to see a semblance of improvement, instead we get more of the same. The NFL heap pile is full of talented guys who never got it. More will be added including this one. He will be a footnote in the history of potential.

If I'm not mistaken Harbaugh did the same thing in the 1st game of the '97 season in Miami. The big difference is that he never returned to the game.

I’m not buying that he was tired. Guys a major fucking athlete if nothing else. My best guess is he felt a shot of pain in the previous injury from giving the defender a piggy back ride. Being winded makes absolutely no fucking sense.

I have few complaints with his accuracy today. 2-3 balls. That’s an improvement. Decision making was bad. He needs reps. Steichen’s decision to go empty backfield and throw with a raw qb before half was a worse decision than any AR made.

He was a freak crossing route screw up from being like 1-12 in the first half. He had a couple dropped passes that should have been caught, but he had a lot more absolute horrible QB play. He is a freak of nature athletically, but has no idea how to be a professional QB. He just doesn't get it, and he never will. The same knocks in he had in high school and college, they followed him to the pro's. They are never going to coach him up. He is a bust and I will guarantee I am right. We wasted a draft pick that could have been used on defense. This team is so poorly constructed.

Sadly I agree with you, I think Richardson is not going to be the player we all hoped he would be! Hopefully it comes together for him in the second half of the season and I have to eat a bucket of crow! This loss was devastating today, we went from having a share of first place to being eliminated from winning the division without a miracle!

I think Flacco could get us into the playoffs, but the Colts will give AR the starting job as long as he is healthy, hoping he suddenly becomes someone that to this point he hasn't been!

My initial thought was that AR lost a contact lens.

I did not know that ...... thanks.

I found some info in regard to that incident. He got an IV for dehydration at halftime, and he took himself out of the game late in the 4th quarter. This paragraph is from an article that I just dug up ......

The Dolphins enjoyed one slice of revenge against Harbaugh on a typically sweltering, late-August day to open the 1997 season in Miami. After needing an IV at halftime, Harbaugh finally took himself out with 3 1/2 minutes left in a 16-10 Dolphins victory. l "I knew I was hurting the team, so I took myself out" l he said.

On the radio broadcast, the sideline reporter Larra Overton, said she did not see any staff come over and check on him, she said he appeared to just be catching his breath. She actually made it sound pretty lame for him to be honest.....

I've ask this before and never got an answer or opinion from anyone...is Cameron Turner a good QB coach? Is he the only one that works with AR or does he have a personal coach? I mean to me, his lack of progress might warrant bringing in another QB coach or someone to work with him personally!

I know there have been other QBs that struggled early in their careers and then a coach changed the foot work or throwing motion and suddenly they became very effective.

Exactly...forget the stats and trust your eyes.

Yeah, let's just ignore completely abysmal completion stats of 2 for 15 in the half and 10 for 32 in the game. Yes there were a couple of drops, but there weren't 10 of them. AR is a complete shit show right now, and as others have pointed out it's pretty much a miracle that we've been able to keep the games this close w/ such horrible QB play. With that being said we're tied to AR for the foreseeable future, so we have to stick w/ him and hope he improves.

I do fully agree w/ everyone on Steichen. The play calling at the end of the half under the circumstances was ricockulous.

No, AR admitted in the post game that he came out b/c he was tired.
