That was a horrible ) NON-CHALLENGE ) by Andy Reid on 3rd down, at the Ravens' 13-yardline. That's a potential game-changer. o |

Back-to-back turnovers by the Ravens when they were deep in Chiefs territory is somewhat reminiscent of the Colts turning the ball over 4 times against the Jets in similar situation in Super Bowl III. o |

Hoping and waiting for the seconds to tick off of the clock in order to end this game in the Chiefs' favor is mildly reminiscent of when the 1980 US Olympic ice hockey team had a 1-goal lead against the Soviet Union, and everybody that was rooting for them couldn't wait for the final whistle. o |

Good job, Chiefs. Among the final four, the only team I did not want to see win the Super Bowl was the Ravens.
All good now. Although a Detroit Lombardi would be sweet. |

In 1957, the 49ers led by YA Tittle were well on their way to a playoff win over Bobby Layne and the Detroit Lions ...... they were up by a score of 24-7 at halftime. Layne and the Lions roared back to win that game by a score of 31-27, and then beat the Browns the next week for the world championship. 66 years later, the situations are reversed ...... the Lions led the 49ers by a score of 24-7 at halftime, with a trip to the world championship on the line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C39j-jqFUY o |
Campbell is a knucklehead...tie the game dumbass!

On 1st down, Christian McCaffrey gained 7 yards. On 2nd and 3, Brock Purdy FAKED the handoff, and threw the ball for a completion after bootlegging around. THAT'S HOW you avoid predictable play-calling. o |

I won't knock Kelce because I do believe everything he was doing is within the confines of what the game used to be. Talk your shit, dude; It's all good. When I was a kid, though, we could play/hit the man and not just the ball. I graduated highschool in 2008. |

The behavior that you quoted from the previous poster was in regard to Travis Kelce's lack of etiquette, not the hitting/physical contact. But in regard to the hitting, I agree completely that the game has been made unfair for the defensive players ...... fundamentals such as wrapping up the player and driving him to the turf to make sure that the tackle is completed are now penalized as "driving a player to the turf." And when you get right down to it, all that a receiver has to do is lay out head-first for a pass to ensure that he won't be touched by the defender because at that point, there really is no other place to hit him besides the head, the neck, or the shoulder ...... if a receiver who is running full speed and then dives for the ball is stretched out as while he's reaching for it, the defender can't magically contort his body to bypass the upper body of the receiver and hit him in the ribs or the waist. Football is an inherently brutal and vicious game, and making unfair for the players on one side of the ball in order to appease those that are alarmed at the long-term after-effects of many of the retired players (CTE, brain damage, dementia, knee and hip replacements) won't change that. o |

Just once I wish they would show Taylor Swift when things go wrong for the Chiefs!

FWIW I thought the referees were consistently incompetent most of the night. The Horse Collar, the awful spots, and the missed holding calls.
If Tarik Glenn, Ryan Diem, and Jeff Saturday were allowed to tackle defenders like the Chiefs O-line is, Manning would have won 5 super bowls here. |

These coaches constantly over think shit…. Seen Shanahan say they chose to receive in OT because they wanted the 3rd possession…. Like wtf with the new OT rules if you win the toss kickoff and you know exactly what you need to do to win the game

Plus the fact is...You should coach with a different mindset when playing a QB like Mahomes, Manning, Brady etc. This is akin to Showalter in the 2016 Wild Card holding back the best closer in the game in extra innings Zach Britton, because he was saving him. Saving him in favor of Ubaldo Jiminez. |
