It’s rare for rookie WR to do well, that’s why what Terry Maclaurin is doing in Washington is so impressive. I wanted to draft that kid, he tore up the senior bowl.

He's also not beating the jam, so it isn't entirely route running.

100% agree. He's dropped a few too many passes this year, but the guy is unquestionably a valuable player. Seems like a pretty good dude too, and loves being on the Colts. I know he's a bit demonstrative as I think you've mentioned before, but I don't find it too irritating as it usually seems good natured rather than arrogant.

27 receptions 345 yards. 0 TDs who did this rookie season belong to?

None other than Reggie Wayne.

People thought Reggie was a bust till what? Year 3? Some guys just take longer. Not that it has been a long time for Cain imo.

I would probably group that with route running also, but that's me. But yeah, he needs to learn how to handle physical corners at the line.

After a rocky month, asked Eric Ebron if he needed today (4 catches, 70 yds, 1 hurdle, 1 TD): "Absolutely. Just in a funk. I had a few talks with our HC and Jacoby. I told them to get me started early, allow me to be in the game, and I’ll go into a zone where no one can stop me."

It certainly wasn’t

They came out attacking the known weakness of the defense. The “do what we do” philosophy would have dictated they force the run - especially since it worked so well in the big win the previous game. That they adapted to the opponent is the sign of good coaching.

Good post.

I agree completely

He showed promise year 2 but I think really started to get it together year 3

I see the Texans just traded for Gareon Conley. Trying to upgrade their corners.

Wanted to throw some love Sheard's way. He is not spectacular but his presence was sorely missed. I knew we missed him on run defense but he has really made a difference getting to the passer.
