We should have won the division last year. It had nothing to do with Ballard or the team. The last game should not have even mattered. The Colts got screwed by the refs in the Browns game. The NFL even admitted they messed up which they never do.
But the clock reset when AR was drafted. He is tied to his success. Barring a complete collapse he isn’t going anywhere. Might as well accept it. We don’t have a say, and Ballard isn’t all bad, like most GMs he has his flaw and strengths. |

Perhaps the mods can merge these 2 threads, since they are essentially the same. http://www.coltfreaks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=185877 o |
Ballards problem is he believes to much in the players he drafts.
It’s always “we like the guys we have”. A truly great GM doesn’t get sucked into that trap and recognizes that he’s not infallible and a backup plan is always a good idea. |

IMO, it's the head coach and the position coaches who should be evaluating they have, because they work them every day. In Reich's case it seemed like he relented all roster decisions to Ballard. I don't feel like Steichen is that way, especially on offense. Maybe Steichen needs to devote a little more time to the defensive construction of this team. |
