There is going to be a lot of pressure applied to Irsay to hire a black head coach...of course if he can hire Harbaugh or Payton nobody can blame him for that, but if he hires Saturday over some of the black candidates available, the media will slam him big time. Personally, I just want the best available, and if it comes down to Saturday or DeMeco Ryans I have to believe DeMeco would be the better choice!

I agree there will be pressure to hire black HC. However, I think that ryans might be a good choice regardless, if he can get a top flight OC to come.

Saturday might be fine. He’s not an offensive mastermind, but you don’t need to have that in a head coach, just as long as he knows how to motivate.

What they do need, though is an offensive coordinator who’s able to nurture and mold a young QB while bringing an element of innovation to the game plan.

You know who was really good at getting a lot out of quarterbacks?

Frank Reich.

I wasn't on the fire Frank bandwagon. I was kinda neutral on it. If they kept him, good. If they fired him, good. I wasn't sure if were really that bad, or he had lost the team. I wouldn't have minded seeing what he could do with a stable QB room

Omaha and others keep saying “well, the team wasn’t responding to Frank anymore. He had to go”.

But they haven’t responded any better to Jeff Saturday. They’ve been just as bad.

Frank was never the problem and he should never have been fired.

The complete failure of the offensive line has been the problem all season. There was nothing Frank could really do about that.

He and Brady were scapegoated by Irsay.

Frank was indeed part of the problem. Yes, the offense under Saturday has been worse. But, there is a reason for that. We are down 3 offensive coaches in Reich, Brady and the TE coach that just left. I also think that we miss Sirianni dearly.

Look, other than JT having a monster season last year, the offense under performed in all but 2 or 3 games last season. So maybe it was Sirianni who was the QB whisper and not Reich. Look what he's done with Jalen Hurts.

Anybody that thought that Saturday was going to come in here and turn this offense around is delusional to begin with. Of course it was going to get worse, it had to get worse.

Bottom line, whoever our next HC is, his selection of the next OC has to be a pivotal determining factor in whether or not he is the man for the job.

Lol, wut?

You can’t say Frank was the problem while simultaneously saying his leaving is part of what caused the problem. That doesn’t make any sense.

Frank and Brady were fired because the offensive line has been horrible all season. And it’s not solely because Matt Ryan is washed up either. They’re as bad at run blocking as they are at pass blocking.

Frank didn’t suddenly forget how to coach offense.
