Yeah, Arch looked awful yesterday. Jumpy in the pocket and Sam Ehlinger like arm strength.
It’s just one week and on the road at Ohio State is probably the toughest place to open a season but still…… |
Cooper must have adopted that boy

Peyton played badly and/or average against Tennessee's arch-rival Florida 3 times, in 1995, 1996, and 1997. His final stats in the 1995 game looked good overall, but after his team took a 30-14 lead in the 2nd quarter, Florida scored 7 consecutive TD's to turn the game into a 62-30 rout. Tennessee added a cosmetic TD in the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter to make it 62-37. On the final final 2 drives for Texas yesterday, I thought that Arch looked better than he did for most of the game previous ...... he's a Manning, in spite of the overall sub-par performance against Ohio State. o |

I thought that he had an excellent 2nd half. Texas was trailing by a score of 6-3 at halftime before they dominated both sides of the ball in the 2nd half. More importantly, there was one play in particular that I believed showed his propensity for being a pro quarterback. On a crucial 3rd down, he had plenty of room to run for the 1st down ...... he instead kept his eyes glued to his receivers and hit one of them for a new set of downs. Manning has 2 more years of eligibility left to play college ball, and I hope that he uses both of them to continue honing his craft. o |
