Right. They didn't need the money, so Peyton and Eli stayed in college and exhausted their eligibility. I wouldn't be surprised if Arch does the same (especially now w/ NIL and program sharing), which would mean he wouldn't enter the draft until 2028 since he redshirted his freshman year.

23) ) Arch Manning

QB: ) Texas l (Sophomore)

The wait is over. In his third year at Texas, Manning gets the keys to the Longhorns' offense as the full-time starter. He played situationally last season and filled in when Quinn Ewers was injured. The Horns plan to use Manning's strength in both passing and running. The 6-4, 219-pound Manning has thrown 95 passes across his first two seasons, with 90 of those coming in 2024. ------ Chris Low

I guess the moment starts in week 2

Yeah, Arch looked awful yesterday. Jumpy in the pocket and Sam Ehlinger like arm strength.

It’s just one week and on the road at Ohio State is probably the toughest place to open a season but still……

Peyton played badly and/or average against Tennessee's arch-rival Florida 3 times, in 1995, 1996, and 1997. His final stats in the 1995 game looked good overall, but after his team took a 30-14 lead in the 2nd quarter, Florida scored 7 consecutive TD's to turn the game into a 62-30 rout. Tennessee added a cosmetic TD in the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter to make it 62-37.

On the final final 2 drives for Texas yesterday, I thought that Arch looked better than he did for most of the game previous ...... he's a Manning, in spite of the overall sub-par performance against Ohio State.

Manning had a decent game, but it was the Texas defense that made the difference. 3 INTs and almost totally shut down the run game. Hopefully, this game will give Manning some confidence. He had a huge monkey of expectation on his back.

I thought that he had an excellent 2nd half. Texas was trailing by a score of 6-3 at halftime before they dominated both sides of the ball in the 2nd half.

More importantly, there was one play in particular that I believed showed his propensity for being a pro quarterback. On a crucial 3rd down, he had plenty of room to run for the 1st down ...... he instead kept his eyes glued to his receivers and hit one of them for a new set of downs.

Manning has 2 more years of eligibility left to play college ball, and I hope that he uses both of them to continue honing his craft.
