If you look at last year's opening day roster, the Colts kept 6 WR's and 7 LB's. They could flip those two numbers this year and keep 7 WR's and 6 LB's. Considering that LB Anthony Walker signed with the Browns in the off season, there is sort of an opening to reach that sort of decision.

LB is also a big source of special teamers. Also don’t forget Ballard wants to keep more D and O linemen because of the extended season. Here is Bowen’s 53 guess. And I agree with it also.

Bowen agreed with me and only projected 6 LB's on his final roster.

I don't see the Colts keeping 10 O Linemen. Yes, there are injuries. Week 1 availability is uncertain at this time. And the Colts need to make sure that there is enough depth available to play in the first game in case of an in game injury.

However, the Colts could elevate 2 players from the Practice Squad to the game day roster to supplement the 53 man roster. I guess I am already envisioning the Colts elevating 2 OL in Week 1.

The final number of O Linemen will likely depend on how Ryan Kelly and Big Q respond over the next 10 days or so.

I never mentioned trading Pascal. Commish did,

I'm with those who want us to keep 7 WR. We need Dulin for ST. Both Strachan and Patmon could turn into long term answers at WR, the key term being could. I doubt either makes it thru waivers so I see both on the 53 man squad. I have a modicum of hope that one of them will turn out to be a player.

LT is the biggest issue. We didn’t adequately address the depth there. But I will say this is pretty difficult to do. No team has good depth at tackle. They are too in demand. You would have to spend a high draft pick on the position to really get some depth. Still we will have to see who gets cut out there. Might be able to find someone.

Skai Moore is a potential 7th at LB. he has always been a good ST player and adequate backup.

I agree that Skai Moore contributed a lot in 2018 in his first year with the Colts and can be a good ST player.

However, he didn't make the final roster in his second year and was on the practice squad for most of 2019. He played in one game that season with a total of 7 snaps.

He then opted out of 2020 due to COVID.

I would think it would be a fairly safe bet for him to clear waivers and the Colts could sign him back to the practice squad.

Although there is the added wrinkle that a lot of former coaches and staff are now on the Eagles coaching staff. They may look to bolster the Eagles roster with some familiar faces who have already bought into the scheme.

If they have to choose between patmon, dulin, and strachan, my guess is they try to get patmon onto the practice squad and hope no one grabs him.

Weren't the Colts so concerned that Patmon wouldn't make it through wavers last year that they kept him on the 53 all year?

I think so, but wasnt he also inactive for every game? if it comes down to it and they have to try to stash a WR (or cut), who's it gonna be?

I hope they keep all three but if one has to go, and both Patmon and Strachan continue to impress, I'd say Dulin. He isn't going to be here in 5 years and if Patmon and Stachan hit they will be here long term. It is a great problem to have, one we will be having much more of in the future, hopefully.
