Honestly, I was wondering what was going on too. But by playing Ryan. it shows that Irsay got out of the way and Saturday is making the calls.

I don't think it is a great QB year to tank anyway. We could get a guy in the 2nd and I think he will have just as good a shot to develop as the guys at the top. Its a better class than last year, but not good enough to tank.

Plus there are some nice young left tackles in this class.

ChaosTheory 11-13-2022 05:43 PM

Coutee looks like he fell off a building after every tackle.

Puck 11-13-2022 05:43 PM

This D is freakin good Yes Yes they are playing a shitty team. but still

Spike 11-13-2022 05:43 PM

Dumbass Nelson.

nate505 11-13-2022 05:44 PM

Wow, even Fayscon is playing better. What a world.

It should also put an end to thinking that Sam is the answer. He is not

Spike 11-13-2022 05:45 PM

Good job of the oline giving Ryan protection there for the 1st down.

His ceiling is Journeyman backup QB.

100% agree. Ryan with time is pretty damn good. Fries and Rainman starting and shithead is on the bench. Great move by Saturday.

YDFL Commish 11-13-2022 05:47 PM

Apparently this NFL football stuff is pretty simple and doesn't require a genius at Head Coach.

Yea. I don't hate having him on the team at all. Just not starting. Could be a good change up or trickery guy and could fill in if needed for injury Just not hanging my hat on him winning much.

Who knew that Pryor sucked out there. I mean, other than anyone with eyes.

nate505 11-13-2022 05:49 PM

This team is, gasp, kind of fun to watch again!

Fans always do that shit. Think the backup is better. We have a dumb fanbase too I think. Everyone on twitter thinks we have to tank and that will automatically give us the next Peyton. Picking QB's is a minefield. There are five bad ones for every good, and probably 20 for every franchise QB. Some teams go decades between franchise QB's. Fans think three years is enough for Ballard to find one.

Puck 11-13-2022 05:50 PM

Campbell is getting another contract

Brylok 11-13-2022 05:51 PM

I have so many questions

People over think things. There is something to be said for a division of responsibilities though. Multi-tasking means split attention.

Puck 11-13-2022 05:52 PM

Nice pocket for Ryan on that pass.

Yep. just ask Dolphins and Bills fans after Marino and Kelly.

I hope so. A prove it contract. I think he can be really good if healthy.

The most popular guy in the stadium when a team is struggling offensively is the 2nd-string quarterback.

It's not that I thought he was the answer of anything, just the best hope with how the line was performing. Ryan had no hope at all back there with all the pressure.

Granted, the Raiders aren't the Titans or the Pats or a team with a great pass rush or anything, but they look a hell of a lot better today. The genius that is Jeff Saturday correctly identified that Pryor fucking sucks and actually did something about it.

The potential redemption of Matt Ryan, after lots of scathing reviews/judgements for his play this season prior to his injury ....... frankly, considering how awful the offensive line had been this year with the exception of one game, I think that Ryan did a pretty good job overall of finding a way to not lose 4 games (3 wins and a tie) with an offensive line that was playing like that of a Division I-AA college team.

nate505 11-13-2022 05:54 PM

Good job Chase! I'll take a 10 point lead.

I still don't understand how Pryor was still starting... Ehlinger had no chance last week. Belichick eats young QB's for breakfast. I wouldn't judge him too much by it.

Racehorse 11-13-2022 06:01 PM

Nice stop on fourth to make McDickface still scoreless.

ChaosTheory 11-13-2022 06:01 PM

Great fucking play.

TheMugwump 11-13-2022 06:01 PM

Hell, even Kenny Moore is playing better now.

W.

T.

F?

Over.

Chromeburn 11-13-2022 06:01 PM

This defense came to play. This is how I expected the team to play against the jags revenge game.

Butter 11-13-2022 06:01 PM

Moore came up huge in that series.

nate505 11-13-2022 06:02 PM

Absolutely spectacular tackle by Moore.

Fuck yes, this is great stuff.

ChaosTheory 11-13-2022 06:03 PM

I was scared they were going to take Moore out of the game when he got up slow the play before. Then he makes a great tackle.

nate505 11-13-2022 06:04 PM

Stole this from someone at StampedeBlue, but it did make me laugh:

Is Frank calling the plays for the Raiders today?

nate505 11-13-2022 06:05 PM

Yikes, I thought that was super lucky to not be picked. Pittman got held there too.

Racehorse 11-13-2022 06:05 PM

Pittman was very close to catching that

nate505 11-13-2022 06:05 PM

Damnit Coutee.

Hope he was down. Nope, that was a fumble. Fuck.

Brylok 11-13-2022 06:06 PM

Bizarre. At least I'm stoned

The guy has a lot of potential, but that will cost him playing time.
