This. That wasn't an absurdly long FG attempt.

If a 50-55 yarder is "barely" in an NFL kicker's range or definitely out of his range, then we need to start a search for a new kicker in the off-season.

Refs scored that TD

Unless they are playing the game in a major snow/ice blizzard, there is no way that Frank Reich will have his team punting from the opponent's 33 yard-line early in the 2nd quarter.

They are making the defense look average at best

Colts And Orioles 11-22-2020 06:17 PM

In their last game against the Titans, the Colts had 2 crucial failures which they were able to overcome ........ the failure of 4th down and 1 when they were deep in Titans territory in the 1st half, and the failure on 4th down and goal from the 1 yard-line in the 2nd half.

So far, they have had 2 similarly momentum-breaking plays happen today ........ the fumble which ensued immediately after a fumble recovery of their own, and the field goal attempt which not only was short by inches, but also simultaneously gave the Packer outstanding filed goal position.

Last week, they kept their heads and throughly outplayed the Titans for the win. The ball is in their court again.

Maybe the TEAM needs to step up

WaynesWorld87 11-22-2020 06:18 PM

Still can't believe we took an interception that set us up around the GB 35 yard line and turned it into 0 points.

Packers capitalize and turn their next possession into a TD. That's the type of game-stretch that you look back on after it's over and go "yep, that's where the Colts lost it."

No, the Colts poor play calling on the earlier turnover did.

You never, ever, ever punt from the other team's 33. Ever.

No, the circumstance of the kicker's failure gave them 7 points. A 50-yard field goal attempt is very makable in today's game. It's not even close to a controversial decision. I seriously doubt that anyone will question him on his decision not to punt the ball from the opponnent's 33 yard-line.

WaynesWorld87 11-22-2020 06:22 PM

Guaran-dam-tee the Packers take their turnover and get points out of it.

This game so far is showing the difference between a good team and an elite team and we aren't the elite team, unfortunately.

Maniac 11-22-2020 06:22 PM

Well that sucks.

Chromeburn 11-22-2020 06:23 PM

This is going to be one of those bad luck games.

That is the difference between Rodgers and Rivers

Brylok 11-22-2020 06:23 PM

Rodgers is fixing to shred us

And we've had our chances. Two takeaways by the defense and we've turned them into 0 points. We had a drive killing hold on a drive we had some early-drive momentum. We are just shooting ourselves in the foot against a great team with arguably the MVP frontrunner at QB.

The play calling is making a huge difference. More than the difference in the QB's.

NextManUp 11-22-2020 06:24 PM

Green Bay is just a better team with a much better QB.

Chromeburn 11-22-2020 06:25 PM

Can’t hand the number 3 offense in the league turnovers

Both the play calling and the clearly better QB are big factors and also related. The Colts don't open up their full play book with Rivers because they know at his age that he can't make all the throws.

Right, but it goes beyond Rodgers vs. Rivers. We get a turnover, start moving the ball, and Mo doesn't secure the ball well on a catch and we give it right back to the Packers. We get a 3-and-out, force a punt, get early offensive momentum on our next drive, and a holding penalty kills the drive. We pick Rodgers off and start at the GG 30ish, don't gain yardage in 3 plays, and our noodle-leg kicker misses a 50 yarder short. Rivers pass gets tipped and the Packers pick it off. They start their own drive after a turnover at the opponent's 30 yard line and turn it into 7.

Just so many example of a "Good vs. Elite" and it's hard to watch. Also, our defense is incredibly overrated.

Pandemics have nothing to do with people being pussies. Don't start with that stupid shit again.

IndyNorm 11-22-2020 06:29 PM

Well so much for this one. Hopefully we play worth a fuck next week

TheMugwump 11-22-2020 06:29 PM

Way to fight to the sticks, Taylor!

Colt Classic 11-22-2020 06:34 PM

Give Pittman TY’s money and put 13 out to pasture.

Brylok 11-22-2020 06:35 PM

We have to get a TD before halftime. I think we can.

This is a game of inches. We are losing the inches this half. Maybe we win them in the second half.

I think that the refs just muffed a rule in regard to the clock.

In the last 5 minutes of a half, the clock is supposed to stay stopped after a player goes out of bounds. They stopped the clock after the tackle, and then started the clock after the ball was placed.

If they ruled him out of bounds, the clock should have stayed stopped ...... and if they ruled him in bounds, the clock never should have stopped in the fist place.

I'm not ready for that yet. TY is still earning a check. Maybe not his salary, but he isn't finished yet.

Sure, but damn, TY seems to not have but two routes in his arsenal...and every DB knows that.

What a great TD catch by Burton there
