If you're Dam, you'll interpret that to: Luck is the problem.

With all those drops, I saw 2 INTs. Luck has 10 turnovers on the year. Luck's ball security issues are the reason this team is 1-5.

*ducks*

Not with a top 10 pick and a need at practically every position on the DL.

And that is the rub of 1st round speciality positions. Doing your homework is important when you use that high of draft capital on a boom or bust position.

I probably still lean towards O-Line or D-Front Seven for almost every first round pick from here until time runs out.

I just think more football games are won by teams with the ability to protect their passer/open holes and those that can control the run and pressure opposing QBs. You need to ocassionally pick a franchise QB and ocassionally get incredible value at CB or Safety or WR or RB but otherwise? Build the lines.

In 2019 if Ballard's top rated person left when we pick is a WR? I would be a-okay with it.

My guess is that when the season ends and we look at our weakest position groups, it will be WR and CB. Strengthening either to NFL average/NFL good will help the team greatly.

Walk Worthy,

1) Absolutely agree with the build the lines philosophy.

2) Anthony Gonzalez was actually pretty good when healthy. He just couldn't stay healthy.

We do not need every position on the dline!!!!!!

We have Lewis, Turay/Autry. So that leaves 2 spots NT and RDE if you dont think Muhammad can work into a starting role. Otherwise 1 spot at NT. Sure they could add some more depth but for depth you have Ridgeway Ward and either Turay or Autry one is starters one is backup. and possibly Hunt if he keeps playing as well as he has.

Just saying the D line is not near as bad as you like to pretend it is.

If you could guarantee it’s a Calvin Johnson or AJ Green I would consider it. But really a WR in the first have become very hit or miss. A late rounder I would consider more than a top 15. Also you can find gems in later rounds. You might have to use more picks, but guys are there.

lewis has never played a down. turay and autry are anyones guess if they can be a viable starter. muhammad sucks.

this dline could turn out to be good but i don't think it is. i have a feeling we will start to see how really bad it is now that the offenses have seen how we run our d.

It's a new look from the Colts but it's not a new look. OCs probably studied Dallas from the past 3 years when prepping for our defense. With tape out there yeah, they'll have better ideas of which player does what. But I don't think it'll be a drastic change. My impression is that defenses do more tailoring to what their opponent does, and offenses focus more on executing their system with less regard for attacking weaknesses

If I told you in August that Luck would be averaging 48 attempts/game after he missed an entire season to a shoulder injury, wouldn't you have expected some rust and turnovers?

Also, people keep stating the team's 2018 record like it matters.

Luck is the least of the Colt problems. They surround him with shit and expect him to do miracles.
