I agree that it's probable. But mostly because of the impotent offense that was run previously.

Remember Brian Billick?

55 and never been a head coach. Next please.

I have no problem with hiring a ST coach, God knows our return units have been worst of all time for 20 years.

But I challenge anyone to find me a SB winning coach who didn't start until he was AARP or getting ready to collect social security. He's probably just a good assistant and nothing more.

Decent article that may allay some fears.

True, McDaniels has only proven himself capable of having a spectacular offense when he has a great QB. I have no doubt that he’d falter, just as he has in the past, with a lame QB, much like Brian Billick.

Luckily, he’d have a great QB in Indy.

I say this, not sarcastically, because we have indeed had idiot OC’s that have proven themselves incapable of having great offenses with a great QB. McDaniels at least wouldn’t squander our QB talent.

Interesting article, but even more interesting is that the video that ran with it had nothing to do with Toub, but says McDaniels is the best fit for us.

I certainly hope that Ballard does a better job of adding playmakers to the defense than the Ravens did at QB.
