I was for the Saturday experiment, even though it blew up horribly in their face. I even think with a year under his belt, some better coordinators, and a line that performs better he'd be much better than he was then. Still, his stretch was so terrible that it's damning with faint praise at best.

But if the Colts actually hire him full time, it'll seriously make me question this franchise. I know the deck wasn't stacked in his favor, but that meltdown against the Vikings and the subsequent performances after that shows me that he's not ready for this level yet. No knock against him really...most people aren't.

to me its more about developing an overall philosophy while coming up the coaching ranks. whether thats on the offense or defensive side of the ball (or both), one has a sense of what he thinks works/doesnt work, what he likes/doesnt like, etc, but that takes time to develope. I really wonder if saturday has that, it doesnt seem to me that he would based on never really having coached.
