The Colts aren't going to give "a guard" left-tackle money. Nelson is arguably the best O-lineman in the league. They're going to give arguably the best O-lineman in the league left-tackle money. 3x First-Team All-Pro (would be 4x if he didn't miss four games).
I've always valued interior OL more than most probably do... but the McGlynn-Satele-Thornton years cemented that stance. Remember how bad people wanted Andrew Norwell? Even if you don't believe in the merits... think pragmatically. Ballard picked the guy with the #6 overall. Of course he's going to pay him. |

Stop worrying about the money, it doesnt matter. Did the money keep the Colts from dumping Wentz and coming out ahead? Let Irsay worry about the money. |

And what do you mean did the money keep them from dumping Wentz? |

The money involved in salaries is all monopoly money. It didn’t prevent us from dumping Wentz to the Washington whatever you’re calling him this week. There’s always a way to maneuver money find money create some ridiculous exception to pay the people you wanna pay. That’s why I don’t worry about it. Also it’s not my money so I probably deep down inside I don’t freaking care |
