The vaccination rate will likely be going down tomorrow. The Colts were at about 75% vaccinated at the 90 player roster limit. Once the team is down to the 53 man roster + 16 player practice squad, the vaccination rate will probably be around 70%, maybe even slightly below it.

I was wondering if it might motivate these guys to get vaccinated once they feel the consequences and see the effect it will have in the team. COVID is rampant throughout the country. It seems impossible that players won’t come in contact with COVID positive individuals. It was theoretical, it isn’t anymore

Unfortunately, the time to get a vaccination was 2 months ago, for Moderna, and a month ago for the J & J.

It takes time for a vaccine to stimulate the immune system and build resistance.

Gregg Doyle pitched a nutty on RATS abut these players and their choices

Agreed. However having folks vaccinated and immune by October is better than not.

Every vaccine has a period of 2 weeks to be considered immune according to everything I've read and heard.

Two weeks after the final dose.

Kelly said he is vaxed, just FYI.

It is really hard for me to think this won’t have an affect in the locker room. I can’t look at someone the same way knowing they are so ignorant or selfish they refuse to get vaccinated. Got to wonder what a guy like Buckner REALLY thinks about shit like this. I can’t imagine being in a locker room with so many supposed “team leaders” risking the season. Especially knowing Covid cost them a division title last year.

However, Ryan Kelly was placed on the COVID reserve list for being a close contact.

That would indicate that either:
1) he has not received both doses of a two dose vaccine
2) he is not documented as fully vaccinated due to timing - 14 days haven't elapsed after the final dose
3) he is not vaccinated after all.

Partial immunity after two weeks for most. I got a second dose of moderna after a month, so that got me to full immunity two weeks later.

The Johnson gets you to partial in 2 weeks, but is only about 77% of total immunity on average,

Because of variants, booster shots will be necessary, and you will be elgible after 8 months
