With OT only being 10 minutes in the regular season now, the team that takes the ball first could potentially have a long, sustained drive. The other team will get a possession, but the time is not limited.

It's not likely, but I have seen it happen where a team takes almost 8 minutes off of the clock after the OT kickoff, kicks a field goal, and then the other team has a very limited time to score themselves.
