I'm stoked that we are finally addressing our depth at offensive line. I'm not worried about LT because I have faith in our ability to draft one.

For us to get to the next level Ballard has to hit on a pass rusher and soon. Maybe Turay or Banogu will start to develop. It happens so I can hope.

I want the offensive line fixed first. You may lose games without a pass rush, but we have seen that you can lose your franchise QB if you cannot protect him.

We aren’t going anywhere until the pass rush improves.

You can draft a situational guy in any round, or bring in a “pass rush specialist “ vet. LT is more important right now

LT they will obviously use one of the top two picks on a rookie. That will be the likely starter. Or Nelson/Smith and the rookie is a replacement at their position. You can get by with a rookie if he is competent.

Pass rush you can’t throw a rookie at and just improve. And good pass rush prospects go early. There is no situational guy left that is going to move the needle. Resigning Houston is not going to fix it. It’s been one of the biggest reasons we are not winning more games and progressing in the playoffs. It is holding this defense back. This defense faded down the stretch and QBR went up the more the season progressed.

Overrated, old and old. But we won’t sign any of them. Just throw more draft capital at the position.

Even if theres no difference between the LT at 21 vs 2nd round?

I definitely want a LT with one of first two pics, but am not yet convinced it has be at 21.

I would love to get a good edge at 21, then spend a lower round pic or so to move up a bit in the 2nd and get a LT.

But my guess is Ballard moves back from 21 to early 2nd round and grabs a LT while gaining another pic.

I wouldnt be shocked if Smith got moved if they could have the rookie play RT. BTW, Smith wasnt a first rounder but played like one. I believe Smith did play some LT in college, so its not that big of a stretch to move over.

Smith is going to get paid like a LT when his contract rolls over, might as well play LT
