Good on you guys for hanging in there in spite of the Colts' losing streak having eliminated them from playoff contention.

Granted that the Colts have a mediocre 6-8 record, have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, and have lost 6 out of their last 7 games ........ that said, you would hardly know that it was a home game in which the home team winning by a large margin.

That's a little surprising to me, because the home crowd has almost always been raucous in recent years ........ even in the disastrous 2011 season in which Peyton Manning's absence resulted in a 2-14 overall record.

Been through the bad and the good times with the Colts. Not going anywhere anytime soon. I may get extremely frustrated sometimes, but the Colts are my team and will always root for them.

Spike 12-22-2019 03:41 PM

Damn, the Panthers suck. Should have never fired Ron Rivera.

The problem with not having a franchise QB is the future doesn’t look promising. I think the fanbase has concluded Brisset just isn’t good enough and that is a death knell for a teams outlook, fanbase enthusiasm, marketing, etc.

JB looks better this game, but the panthers are not trying. They have given up on the season. But hey we will be 8-8, and we need a new QB. Just about the shitiest place to be. Not good enough to be in the playoffs. Not bad enough to get a high draft pick for a QB.

Spike 12-22-2019 03:43 PM

Vernon Butler looks like a fucking gangster.

nate505 12-22-2019 03:44 PM

I have no idea why that Butler goon isn't ejected from this game.

Spike 12-22-2019 03:44 PM

What happened to Q?

Most of us have hung in there with this team. I hope they win last 2 games.

nate505 12-22-2019 03:45 PM

Good, spoke too soon haha

Done, that POS is ejected.

nate505 12-22-2019 03:46 PM

He's still whining. What a dumb fuck.

Colt Classic 12-22-2019 03:46 PM

There should be a $25,000 fine for punching someone in the helmet. Not so much for the act, but for the stupidity of thinking it will hurt the other guy.

Hopefully he hurt his hand on it.

Spike 12-22-2019 03:47 PM

JB can be so damn inaccurate at times. Damn, now Smith is down.

He's a fine backup QB, but the Colors really need a better starter.

Spike 12-22-2019 03:51 PM

Q being evaluated for a concussion.

nate505 12-22-2019 04:02 PM

I hope that they finish at 8-8, too.

I quoted those 3 guys because they had the most posts in this largely unused game thread.

I understand what you are saying about the Colts being in an in-between position, but I don't think that the fan base that attends the games at Lucas Oil Stadium is that practical/refined that they cheer loudly during a 2-14 season because we are going to get a high draft pick, and don't cheer loudly during an 8-8 or 7-9 season because we are neither making the playoffs nor getting a high draft pick ........ if they really were like that, they would not have been cheering so loudly when the Colts won 2 games in a row (and very nearly won a 3rd consecutive game) late in the 2011 season. That little almost 3-game winning streak nearly dropped them from the #1 overall pick to #2.

nate505 12-22-2019 04:19 PM

Of course the Colts get caught on the fake punt

Spike 12-22-2019 04:19 PM

Colts are damn lucky they are playing against Will Grier today. He is a mirror image of JB.

Damn fake punt, 1st down Panthers. Fuck!

Frank Reich is challenging the entire 2019 season, based on the awful job by the referees at-large.

o

NextManUp 12-22-2019 04:30 PM

They were too far away to try a QB sneak.

Colts And Orioles 12-22-2019 04:31 PM

I liked the enthusiasm of the entire defensive unit celebrating that 4th-down stop almost as much as I liked the stop itself.

The fans at-large may have mailed it in on the season, but the players haven't

Hines: 12
Panthers: 6

albany ed 12-22-2019 04:45 PM

Hines! Special teams player of the week/month

Colt Classic 12-22-2019 04:46 PM

He did a kinda-sorta Deion strut...needed to put his hand up behind his head for higher marks if that was the attempt.

WaynesWorld87 12-22-2019 04:46 PM

So our ST decide to show up today?

Where's this been all season?

Also, when's the last time we had 2 KR/PR TDs in the same game? Has it ever happened?

HoosierinFL 12-22-2019 04:47 PM

I don’t remember the last time we had a punt return for a TD, let alone 2 in one game. This is some weird shit.

I sure miss Chester Rogers.

My guess is Clarence Verdin.

Racehorse 12-22-2019 04:54 PM

Whoever said that Reich had lost the locker room last week was wrong. These guys have not quit in the least.

Racehorse 12-22-2019 04:56 PM

Glad Randy Travis can sing, cause that catch attempt was feeble

Colt Classic 12-22-2019 04:57 PM

Even though Carolina isn't trying to do anything other than pad McCaffrey's stats, it's nice to see the team get back on the same page.

BCN#1 12-22-2019 05:01 PM

Go Klotz! Too little too late I am afraid but I will take it.

WaynesWorld87 12-22-2019 05:04 PM

I know it's against a lifeless, "we've quit" 5-9 Panthers team, but I can't remember the last time we've had a game where the defense and ST stepped up and performed at this elite of a level in the same game.
