There's a lot of people that are probably happy about it as well. Unfortunately for me I took HOU at +8.5 before the line moved. Guess that's what I get for not procrastinating :mad:

I'm sure that there were plenty of people who bet on the Texans to cover the spread who were happy about that safety ...... unfortunately, it only takes one lunatic from the loser's side of the gambling world to do something potentially tragic. o |
That IndyCar commercial on Fox gives me hope that they may finally have a media partner that will properly promote the sport. Best Auto racing in the world right now is IndyCar!
Now back to football! |
Washington takes the lead 10-7....with a lot of ref help, but Daniels is one of the best young QBs I've seen since Mahomes!
|
Amazing catch by LaPorta in the end zone! 14-10 Lions
|
Wow, Washington pick 6, go up 24-14....Goff not only throws the pick but gets knocked on his ass and is now being checked out!
|
This is a crazy game, one big play after another, Jameson Williams takes it to the house on a 61 yard reverse, that guy is fast!
|
If you aren't watching this game you are missing a classic!
|
Another Goff interception to end the half....Dan Campbell is going to have to chew some ass, these Redskins are serious contenders!
|
In the first game today it was phantom roughing the QB, in this game it is phantom facemask....Detroit should have been forced to kick instead they are driving for a touchdown!
|
Yep. Watching it, and this game is nuts.
Agree a total BS facemask call, but as the commentators just reminded us Wash got away w/ a helmet to helmet hit on Goff on the pick 6 return. Also, I need the Lions to win by 7+ so I'm ok w/ the facemask call. |
I think Washington will go for this....a FG doesn't do much here.
|
Detroit has 12 men on the field, gives Washington a first down, they score a TD 2 plays later....this game has a little bit of everything!

A lot of it is bad play by the Lions. o |

Edit: Make that 4 turnovers. |
Wow...Jayden Daniels is putting on a show! Washington may have just put this game out of reach! 45-28 is going to be tough with 7 and half minutes to go!

I've never seen a rookie QB perform like Daniels has today. My concern about him is injury, he keeps running like this, someone will eventually get a clean shot at him!

Washington 45
Detroit 31 Lions are eliminated, Washington is legit and have a good chance to win next week no matter who they play! |
I never understand when teams are in a desperate position like this, that they don't take shots.
Dink and dunk, milk the clock against yourself. WAS offense looks good. 4 TO's is brutal for DET |
Weather is going to affect both games today, snow and cold temps will give the home teams a big advantage. Especially the Eagles over the Rams, I will be surprised if this game is even close! Tonight's game in Buffalo could be even worse weather than Philly, but the Ravens should not be too negatively affected and this should be a great game!
|
I'll be watching the Eagles and Rams, but fortunately/unfortunately will be at a concert tonight during the Ravens-Bills game.
I did take the Eagles and Ravens in my parlay today, so hopefully I fucked both of those teams like I inadvertently did to the Texans and Lions yesterday. |

5 turnovers, including the INT in the end-zone with 32 seconds left to play the 4th quarter ...... it was fitting that the Lions' last gap of hope (about 2%) ended that way. o |

There was another incident later in the game, in which the referees correctly l DID NOT l throw a flag for. Patrick Mahomes’ Shameless Flop on Non-Late Hit Is Sign NFL Needs to Institute a Flopping Penalty (By Robert Zeglinski) https://sports.yahoo.com/patrick-mah...235632571.html o |

A chronology of the play ...... A) l Mahomes was running towards the sidelines to go out of bounds. B) l Mahomes came to a complete stop JUST BEFORE going out of bounds ...... knowing that a Texans defender would push him in the back (which is legal, because Mahomes was still in bounds.) C) l The Texans defender pushed Mahomes in the back, not particularly hard (although he was in his rights to push him as hard as he wanted to, because Mahomes was still in bounds and there was nothing stopping him from turning up-field to try to get more yardage.) D) l After getting a not-so-hard shove in the back, Mahomes jumped forward, as though he were just hit by a Cadillac automobile. E) l With the Kansas City crowd screaming for a penalty, the referees correctly swallowed their whistles and did not penalize the Texans defender. o |
Rams leading 7-6 is surprising to me, no snow yet, the weather so far nothing like they expected it to be earlier in the week.
Just looked at the radar in Philly, snow arriving in about 15 minutes and it looks like snow the rest of the game, Rams need to take advantage of this dry field while they can! |
Not even close to the kind of game I thought we'd see. 16-13 Philly and the weather seems to be bothering the Eagles as much or more than it is bothering the Rams!
|
I am not a fan of football in the snow, I'm sure the Rams agree with me!
|
o
Should the Eagles call time-out to give their players time to clear a spot for their place-kicker's field goal-attempt ??? o |
Still within a touchdown at 22-15 Eagles, Rams may only get a couple more chances!
|
Saquon Barkley 78 yard TD run will finish off the Rams 28-15....extra point no good, doesn't matter, this one is over and the Rams are eliminated!
|
I may have spoke too soon, Rams score a quick TD, there is still time if they can stop the Eagles!
|
o
Right now, those 2 extra-point misses by the Eagles are looming ominously for them ...... their kicker did a good job on all 3 of his field-goal attempts in this weather, but those 2 extra-point misses also have played a part in the current scenario, which is still tight at 28-22. o |
o
After a slow start in the first 1/3 of the season, the Eagles' defense came on like gangbusters over the final 2/3 of the season. That's the good news. The bad news is that their only bad game in the final 2/3 of the season was against the Commanders ...... their opponents in next week's NFC Championship game. o |

Now onto the final game of the divisional playoffs....The hated Ravens at the Buffalo Bills!
|
o
James Cook has such long hair, he almost got pulled down by it by a Ravens defender on one of his runs ...... I think that's it's questionable to have hair that long outside of your helmet, because your hair is considered part of your uniform. It is legal to yank somebody down by their hair, as it is essentially part of a player's jersey. o |
Derrick Henry is a perfect fit for the Ravens....sometimes finding players that fit is more difficult than just getting the best available, something the Colts need to work on!
