Spike 09-08-2024 01:27 PM

Awesome throw to Pierce for that TD.

Thorgrim 09-08-2024 01:28 PM

Really hoping the D starts the season with forcing some turnovers at a fast pace.

Racehorse 09-08-2024 01:28 PM

Hate Bradley's soft zones

Spike 09-08-2024 01:29 PM

Stroud getting way too much time to throw.

CletusPyle 09-08-2024 01:30 PM

CJ is having a lot of footing problems....hope he doesn't have extra shoes!:D

Colts And Orioles 09-08-2024 01:32 PM

Well, at least the Colts' defense tightened up when the field was more compacted (deep in their own territory) ...... if they totally sucked, they would be losing by a score of 14-7 right now.

CletusPyle 09-08-2024 01:36 PM

How the fuck is that not a penalty!

Racehorse 09-08-2024 01:36 PM

That was a suplex

I thought they made that illegal in the off-season.

Racehorse 09-08-2024 01:38 PM

Granted, the offense failed to convert, but how is that not a penalty.

Colts And Orioles 09-08-2024 01:38 PM

If the refs are actually going to let the defense play, then I'm glad ...... I'd rather see better football than get a solitary first down call in the first quarter of the game.

o

Hoopsdoc 09-08-2024 01:39 PM

How was that not roughing?

ChaosTheory 09-08-2024 01:39 PM

The way they coddle these QBs... Are you shitting me that wasn't a flag?

Please don't show symptoms in 20 mins.

You know if we threw CJ down like that every ref would have thrown his flag!

Spike 09-08-2024 01:39 PM

If the fucking refs aren't going to call that, then do the same shit to Stroud.
I hate the dirty fucking Texans with a passion.

Dewey 5 09-08-2024 01:42 PM

Only a matter of time before that happened.

Delayed blitz does not exist in Bradey's playbook.

CletusPyle 09-08-2024 01:44 PM

Man I hate the Texans!

Dewey 5 09-08-2024 01:45 PM

Texans go for two & Colts stop them.

Spike 09-08-2024 01:46 PM

Nice stop on that conversion,

Still Bradley and Ballard piss me off.

Hoopsdoc 09-08-2024 01:46 PM

Texans are really good. Their weakness is the OLine.

But Stroud may be good enough to negate that.

Hoopsdoc 09-08-2024 01:47 PM

That was a pro bowl level drive from Stroud.

nate505 09-08-2024 01:48 PM

Damn, the Colts had no hope stopping that play. Diggs couldn't have been any more wide open.

They did make it illegal. It's called a "hip-drop" tackle.

But here is the problem.

Proponents of the "hip-drop" tackle have stated that it's a good rule because Lawrence Taylor, Dick Butkus, Chris Hanburger, and all of the greats of the past never had to use that maneuver ...... but Lawrence Taylor, Dick Butkus and Chris Hanburger did not have to use that maneuver because they did not have all of the limitations set on them that the current defensive players have. There were no ridiculous penalties like "driving a quarterback to the turf", when that is exactly the fundamentals that one is taught in football (wrap him up strong, take him down hard, and make sure that he doesn't wiggle free for extra yardage.)

So yes, all of those great player in the 1960's, the 1970's, the 1980's, and the 1990's did not need to use the hip-drop/swivel maneuver, because they didn't have to use it ...... they weren't eviscerated by the rules that they have now, which essentially makes the only legal tackling maneuver to bear hug the ball-carrier without hitting him high, without hitting him low, without driving him to the turf, etc.

I'm not sure what exists in his playbook, other than giving WRs massive amounts of cushion.

Dewey 5 09-08-2024 01:51 PM

AR throws high an awful lot

CletusPyle 09-08-2024 01:52 PM

Are we saving JT for the second half?

Spike 09-08-2024 01:54 PM

On that AR run, that dirty piece of shit Texan launched himself like a missile and if AR didn't get down, that bastard would have ended AR's season.

They are trying to take him out, and that shows what a garbage organization it is.

nate505 09-08-2024 01:54 PM

Great, the fucking illegal formation penalties

HoosierinFL 09-08-2024 01:56 PM

I hope we don’t have an afternoon of watching Cross tackling Mixon after 8+ yard gains

Dewey 5 09-08-2024 01:58 PM

Buck!

I saw that. It was #20 whoever that is.

CletusPyle 09-08-2024 01:59 PM

Am I the only one that hasn't been that impressed with Gould?

Spike 09-08-2024 01:59 PM

Great job Buckner, sacked Strouds ass.

Haven't even noticed him on the field.

Hoopsdoc 09-08-2024 02:00 PM

Why aren’t we running Taylor? What’s he got, 3 carries?

Racehorse 09-08-2024 02:01 PM

Time to use the momentum and go berserk
